Saban didn’t have to compete against a lot of talented coaches either until the end and he started getting beat as well.

When Saban took over to rebuild Alabama, the SEC was already rolling. Saban shut the door on any other conferences competing for the national title annually.

I see some guys I remember well from when Saban entered the SEC at LSU. They were pretty big names back then.

I’ve had some horrible takes here, I’ve seen many horrible takes here….. but this takes the cake. I’d bet there’s more crime on each ball team these days than there was then as the culture continues to get worse, and the crime continues to be the “cool” thing to do.

It’s no surprise that many of these athletes come from homes that are a part of said culture. Some of them take the opportunity and make the best of it, others can never get out of their own way. I surely can’t change the past, nor predict the future, but I can almost nearly assure you Nilo was going to commit that crime with or without fulmer in the picture. Even the strictest coaches (Saban) had plenty of criminal activity on their team, whether it ever made it to the news or not.

Speaking of bad takes, I don’t see as much crime now. Even with social media reporting everything about everyone, from the video games they played with teammates to their favorite tv shows.. It’s cleaned up a lot at our program and it’s harder to sweep things under the rug with cameras everywhere. Thank you for grading me, but I’ll pass on accepting it.

Don’t expect you to “accept” anything. Everyone saw all they needed to when you somehow tried to put a rape charge on a coach. Baffling really.

Let's see: the only UT coach with a title that involved post-season play that mattered, the only UT coach with an SEC title that involved post-season play and didn't have to rely on Florida being on probation for 2 of them.

I would suggest you read up on Alexander Johnson and Micheal Williams. And for fun look up the Duke Lacrosse team rape charges. Women lie and sometimes they lie to entrap Star athletes. The sooner you learn that the better off you’ll be.

I’ll do that. Meanwhile, you should read up on Vandenburg, Batey, McKenzie, and Banks. The difference between those you named and those I named was video evidence taken by the perpetrators. While you’re at it, read on Todd Hodne and find out the price of assuming your football entertainment is worth standing up for problematic football players.

That's the issue with all this type if stuff, it can create a mess later on.

When Manning didn't win the Heisman and the city named the street for him, it seemed ok. Then the team quarterbacked by Tee wins the championship and it becomes a major issue. Similar to retiring Manning's jersey and then Reggie White claiming he was told he needed to donate money to get his jersey retired. Just creates problems.
