Name the coach with a winning program that has been composed of nothing but Saints over the course of their careers?
Saban had players mug another student on campus for crying out loud.
Everyone wants their team’s roster to be full of nice law abiding, god fearing young men, but the reality is there are 85 boys who’s frontal lobes aren’t quite developed (and then they knock them around playing a physical sport in which aggression is part of the game). Every program is gonna have a few incidences of law breakers.
Fulmer usually dismissed players pretty quickly for serious offenses.
I'm a Fulmer fan, but I think Fulmer's primary recruiting emphasis was on talent. I do think Fulmer's recruits as a whole were better citizens than Majors' or Kiffen's recruits. The "tight ship" run by Heupel seems to be due to a strong emphasis on the character of the recruit. However, he did whiff on the current UCLA QB. That kid has zero integrity. For those who blame the kid's father, most of us are products of our parenting, so that's who the kid is.You aren’t wrong but I gotta say so far Heupel runs a pretty tight ship. We’ve had some inner locker room drama, but he’s a done a nice job keeping the red and blue lights out of the rear view. Barnes as well for that matter.
Kids today on average don’t drink, smoke, or have sex like they used to (bunch of lames iyam). That’s probably the biggest reason why Heupel doesn’t have as many troublemakers. Aside from Georgia guys driving like leadfooted Asian women, college football in general doesnt have as many troublemakers as it used toI'm a Fulmer fan, but I think Fulmer's primary recruiting emphasis was on talent. You may have a case of selective memory. Majors went in the hospital and PF took over as interim HC. The immediate improvement in the moral and effectiveness of the team was obvious. The powers that be had put up with a lot from Majors and determined that it was better to retain PF than have him coaching against them somewhere in the SEC. Just how do you think Majors was stabbed in the back?He stabbed Majors in the back
Johnny gave us relevance again and quite early in his tenure started loading us up with NFL talent from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. He also gave us 3 SEC titles. Had he not been so stubborn he could have retired here as HFC and been AD afterwards. He is as important to the University as Fulmer. Especially building our football program back to national revelenceYou don’t know the whole story. You better be glad Fulmer made it known to the right people that he wanted the job or you could kiss the rest of the 90s away! Let’s be honest, Johnny didn’t give us much. Great man, great leader but he was done.
Haters just have to hate.Name the coach with a winning program that has been composed of nothing but Saints over the course of their careers?

Majors was also the one that demanded a raise from the AD. The AD didn't like that so he sort of forced the situation. That being said, I will always be greatful for all the members of the Majors family that are a part of Tennessee athletics history. You may have a case of selective memory. Nilo was not found guilty. Maybe get the facts before blaming a coach for something that literally never happened.Tell that to all the victims of his football players. Fulmer started losing because he didn’t discipline his team. Not because he forgot how to coach or recruit.
My 10 year old self got to learn what rape was thanks to Nilo Sylvan being in the news.
That’s great for Nilo. He still got himself involved in it and that was a program that Fulmer cultured. We had players arrested every year for violent crimes back in his days.Nilo was not found guilty. Maybe get the facts before blaming a coach for something that literally never happened.
All I know is when we got Dooley, I was at least thankful that the arrests decreased from previous years.Name the coach with a winning program that has been composed of nothing but Saints over the course of their careers?
