2026 Lady Vols Recruiting

#21 Kelsi Andrews
#9 Brihanna Crittendon*
#2 Oliviyah Edwards* to Tennessee!
#12 Bella Flemings*
#7 Trinity Jones
#44 Gabby Minus*

Plus Internationals Sara Okeke and Ainhoa Risacher as possible targets.
Kelsi Andrews is commiting this upcoming week and she hasn’t even took a visit to us. So safe to say we are not in the running

Who is we? You nor I are part of this program. As a fan, I will support every player the staff sign(s) to play at UT. I also don’t pretend to understand their strategy for building a team and act as if I know what these professionals know in terms of putting together a team. Some posters on here act as if there’s 30 spots on a roster.
Let the staff decide how they will approach putting together a team and when a player commits that is what matters not speculating on every commitment decision.
Fair enough.

Are you still excited if we only come out of all this with Edwards and nobody else?
100 percent happy with Edwards and will not be down at all since we have the portal and we will get the players we need there.

I still think we sign more than Edwards I think there will be at least one more that will come here.

Don't get me wrong, I believe they will get at least 1 more. I am pretty confident bout Crittendon( despite the boyfriend), and Minus. I was just posing the question

I think 3 is a really good number to sign out of high school. If you can get 4 super stars that would also work. 3 each cycle would be 12 in a 4 year span. If no one leaves unexpectedly you replace 3 HS and fill in with the portal each year. But no one is living in a perfect world. Loosing large classes each year can get tough every year. GLV💥

It used to be four but now three or even two is ok. The portal changed everything.

The amount of un-learning that players have to do to fit into CKC's system becomes another argument for preferring HS players over transfers (all other things being equal).

Entering college as a freshman, your mind is already in a receptive, flexible, "this is gonna be different" mindset. Rising into a new level of competition, you're also anticipating that your game will require some adjustments. Transfers have to un-learn things they've not only done their whole basketball life, but also at the college level.

The portal is a great resource for coaches and developing programs to patch over weak areas. But factory fresh tires with a 4-year warranty and a predictable rotation schedule would still be the ideal.

Though Jumper's Fab 4 would have been fabulous, it seems like we are in the hunt for several more excellent players. I have no inside info, but what I seen we two transfer classes and our first recruiting class is that we close as good as anyone, typically bringing in at least a pleasant surprise at the end. This is what gives me optimism to add to my Edwards smile.

Changing this list because Lola Lampley didn't previously have Tennessee in her top 5. On February 20, 2025, those were Duke, MS State, UCLA, Florida State, & NC State. Things change.

The upside with freshman is much higher too. The earlier they're into your system in their eligibility process, the more years you get out of them as an experienced player in your system. I believe it's correct that we'll never get a "experienced year" out of Barker, Jersey, and Nya, correct? It's basically a one-and-done for them to pick up the system and try to win a natty in it.

Wonder if Abii to Notre Dame influenced her change? Both are listed by Hoopgurlz as 6'2" wings. Abii #9 player 5 star grade 97: Lampley #29 player 4 star grade 95. She has official visits scheduled to LSU and South Carolina. Neither was in Lampley's top 5 posted last February. SC didn't offer until July, 2025. LSU was in Abii's top 5 announced in August), along with Tennessee. SC was in Abii's top 10 announced in June 2025.

Tennessee staff recruits at a rapid rate and one prospect decision has nothing to do with the next unless you were Edwards or Hall. I think people assumed that Tennesssee was only focused on certain players because that was what came out in the public via social media in terms of visits.
This staff already has a commit from one of the Top 2 players in the 2026 class, and therefore they are building a class with multiple options, some of which we didn’t know before that are now being reported.
Edwards and Hall are the only two players that are changing colleges recruiting boards in this class.
