Cheap Alabama TD with 17 seconds to go

If Vandy had not called TOs Alabama would not of scored. If Vandy was worried about final score don’t call TOs.
I think that was just Lea seeing game was out of hand and maybe practicing end of game / clock management...or maybe he thought they actually had a shot to make something happen???

I’m glad it wasn’t a blow out for Alabama, I was afraid that Alabama was going to come in and put this game away by halftime but it was a fight for 4 quarters. They now have Missouri at their place although their home games doesn’t scare anyone they are another scrappy team with good defense. Georgia, Vandy, Missouri and then us. They won’t be at full strength by our game with us coming off a bye and hopefully handling business with Arkansas.

Nah, Pavia is a arrogant little prick. I loved seeing that smug look wiped off his face tonight.
I agree. First time I wanted Bama to win! Not because I like Bama or dislike Vandy, but because I can't stand Pavia's arrogance. Glad they made him eat his words as we will also. A little humble pie might do him some good! ;)

They're better this year for sure. They just don't have the horses to handle the top half of the SEC for the entirety of the game. By the time they get to us they will be limping to a bowl game with a win against Kentucky and Texas
I don’t know. They went toe to toe with Bama, who might be the best team this year. Pavia hangs onto that fumble and they may win that game. He also tried to force the ball downfield on his interception. They were driving just fine and he got greedy. Vandy looked plenty good enough to win, Pavia let them down when it mattered.

Really, you have to score though. Nobody likes admitting that style points matter, but they do. At the end of the season, when the CFP votes are coming in. They won't remember a lot of games and the final score is their factor.
They weren’t even trying to score though. They just ran to get the first down and Vandy sucked on that play. Had Vandy not senselessly used their timeouts the game would’ve ended before that score.

So you're certain we lose both?
I hope we win both, but we always seem to bring out the best in opposing QBs. In addition, Arky will up their game in hopes of keeping Petrino, and if OK gets their QB back, it will be a hard fought win for us. We can only afford to lose one more game for playoffs hopes to remain. That is a tall order, but Heupel deserves SEC coach of the year if he does it.🤞

That was a cheap, low class TD that Alabama laid on Vandy with 17 seconds left. It padded the score, but Vandy went toe to toe with them at their house today.
Did you feel the same way about Tennessee’s late touchdown against Missouri in ‘22? It’s not the responsibility of an offense to worry about the feelings of the opposition. The defense had every opportunity to keep them out of the end zone.

I’m feeling better about the Vols going down there now. I felt like that would be a sure loss. I think we could steal one down there now.
Lol Heupel does that every chance he gets. He was throwing the ball to the end zone up 32 against UAB when a kneel down would have killed the clock.

Trying to impress voters is part of the drive to the playoffs isn't it? Style points? Building a post season resume...can't fault them for that.

Pavia practicing victory formation kneel downs in pregame probably warranted as big a beat down as Bama could muster. That guy has taken douchebaggery to new extremes.

It sure was cheap.. and I'm a lot poorer for it as I would've won a 6 game parlay had Vandy lost by <12.5
YIKES! Sorry about that! Bad beats happen every week though. South Fla was apparently running the clock out Friday Night, running the ball, and scored with seconds left. Covered.
