So flying the english flag is now racist.

Look wherever you want, we have always been a melting pot and non-English speakers being an "issue" is completely fake and manufactured

Correct, we’ve always been a melting pot. We’re not a melting pot anymore, illegal immigrants and frankly too many legal immigrants today have a “I’m going to keep my culture” mindset and not melting into being American.

And you're so ready to believe the opposite? Do you think there's little to no enforcement bias?

I guess for me it depends on what you call enforcement bias. Areas are typically patrolled based on crime rates. Areas with higher crime rates typically get policed at a higher rate than low crime areas.

The people they come in contact with in policing those areas is somehow predetermined by race or ethnic group?

Do you believe those stats prove that they are policed unfairly or that this group of people just create crimes at higher rates than other demographics of the population?

Not coming at you just wanting to see what your thought process is.

How did they become citizens without being proficient in the English language? I think its perfectly reasonable to expect someone who has been in the US for 5 decades to speak English in public. What they speak in their home is their business.

I know the standards for immigration used to be lax even in the early 1900s...but in 2025 if you can't speak English by the time your visa expires or when taking the tests to be a naturalized US citizen then you can leave because becoming an American clearly isnt a priority to you. Theres hundreds of TV channels speaking English 24/7. Theres plenty of language apps to help you learn. There are English as 2nd language classes...and over 300 million English speaking people surrounding you every day to practice your English on. Speaking our language is not an unreasonable expectation. Maybe you havent noticed but we have plenty of people already in this country. It isnt " come one, come all". Its "do you have a valuable skill or service to contribute to our nation?". Can you assimilate to our language and customs? We arent following the WEFs plan for the destruction of Europe over here in the US. At least not under Republican leadership.
I don't know the citizenship process for the (very) early 1900's. But they became citizens and they and their progeny have pretty well assimilated and benefited the country, except for some political views which of course are a matter of opinion. So we were smart to not boot them after so many years for lack of English skills.
Who cares what language someone speaks? If they can get by speaking only e.g. Basque or Esperanto how does that hurt any of the rest of us? What matters is they pay taxes and don't burden our criminal justice or welfare systems.
I don't think our immigration standards were lax in the early 1900's. If the head of the household could work and nobody was a criminal or handicapped then they got to enter, very similar to today. And they became Americans. Doesn't MAGA want to go back to those times?
Those last couple of sentences make it sound like you've got WEFDS.

My experience with immigrants is the people who actually immigrate are typically good, decent and extremely hardworking people. The first generation born in America act a fool at a pretty high rate. I've got some suspicions why I think that is but it's just my opinion.

I think there's merit to predisposition on both sides of that argument.

I've had enough dealings with police in my life to not take their motives and qualifications at face value.

I agree. They certainly arent genetically predisposed to commit crimes. Nobody is based on their skintone/race. Why allow them to come then? Why would you willingly allow immigrants to come to already overcrowded Western European countries when they are known to commit crimes at 3x to 6x the rate of citizens...often with the citizens themselves being the victims of the rape/violence? If there was a labor shortage in these countries or we were talking about doctors or computer geniuses from Asia or India then it makes sense. Why would any sane government allow thousands of these people into their country and then immediately put them on the public dole? Its suicide. Suicide with no logical reason to even attempt it. The WEF and UN are intentionally destroying Western Europe. The leaders in the UK, France, Germany and Scandinavia should be tarred and feathered or locked up in prison. Every single one of them who votes for this BS. They can't be that stupid or oblivious...so its treason. Subterfuge.
Another way to phrase that could be 'why accept refugees from countries destabilized by your policies?'. I suppose they put them on the dole so they don't starve and steal. I wouldn't have made some of the moves European governments have in the last 20 years but ultimately it's their business, not ours. Let's see how it plays out.

But then you can go to Muslim countries and areas and walk all over and the chance of anyone harming you is much lower than in the US. So it looks like it's not a Muslim thing. See how that works?
Brother you pay the ticket prices and I’ll take you where those feels are complete ********. You a camel slayer? Spouting that 💩

Not enough to make an argument to definitely ban immigration from specific countries but enough to reform the vetting process from the ground up.
I can agree there, it kind of looks like there was a rubber stamp, I mean how much can you really find out from some of these countries? I'd be interested to see if there was background info requested, if these countries were even providing and cooperating with those requests and how well any info provided was vetted.

100% agreed.

It's should be an extensive job interview to come here for citizenship. I don't care where you came from, and everyone needs to meet the same baseline requirements.

Throw in some work sponsorships so we don't just limit it to those who are educated or seeking education (though I would like to see that in the aforementioned bsseline).

Fact is, our entry level job market in a wide variety of industries sucks and has for a good chunk of my adult life. There's a good bit of lack of desire from our youth to do mundane work. If we have an employer sponsorship program to not only fill those roles but to also inadvertently aid in keeping tabs on immigrants looking to take advantage of that program, that solves a plethora of issues.

I feel like there should be a probationary citizenship period. No voting or owning firearms for one or two years. Clean criminal record must be maintained (the severity of disqualifying offenses can be determined by the courts), and hell... throw in some varying degrees of mandatory selective service.

That's how you get into the United States of Dink.

If you run for prez I'm convincing everybody I know to vote for you.

I'll be your campaign manager, I'm cheap....

"American" is a combination of other cultures, like I said this is a manufactured "issue"
