President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Ahh ... the old let’s blame it on obstruction from the other party stance. Clinton had the Presidency and majority’s in both chambers in 93 and 94. Obama had the Presidency and majority’s in both chambers for a term. Did they give us all healthcare? Did they try and rush it through when they actually had the chance and ability to do it? In my time on this earth history has shown less gets done for the will of the people when a party, either party has the majority.

I miss “we are going to make them pay their fair share”

Had the opportunity and who did they target? Middle class and working poor people selling some of their old stuff on eBay.

First of all, Presidents don’t pass legislation, so you’re pointing the finger at the wrong people. Second, do you not remember the fight in Congress in 2009-2010 that ultimately gave us the ACA instead of universal healthcare? The Dems were trying to pass a comprehensive healthcare bill, and the republicans were trying to obstruct it.

Do you not remember Mitch McConnell vowing to stop anything on Obama’s agenda at all costs including healthcare reform? I do. This was literally item number 1 for Bernie’s platform. I don’t ever recall a Republican having meaningful healthcare reform being on their platform, unless it’s to repeal something accomplished by democrats.

Obama failed to get universal health care or significant gun control through Congress with a filabuster proof majority....

Dem$ would rather $$campaign$$ on an i$$ue rather than $olve it...

The version that passed the house was the version Obama wanted, but after Kennedy died they lost the filibuster proof majority and did not have the votes in the Senate, so we got the watered-down senate version as a result. But hey, at least they aren’t like Republicans who haven’t accomplished anything on healthcare in the last 100 years besides collecting industry lobbyist checks.

As Trump did killing the bipartisan immigration reform bill last year, openly telling Senators he wanted to run on the issue and not have Biden have any sort of victory.

Dems had 12.5 months until Scott Brown took over. They liked the campaign cash more than actually passing something...

Whatchaboutism is strong here...

Dont disagree with your comment but 12.5 months of complete control and not getting through key cornerstones is an absolute failure no matter how you slice it....

Exactly where in my post did I say that any President alone could pass legislation? Did you miss my mentioning of majority’s? Of course I remember R’s trying to obstruct, that’s what the 2 party’s do to each other, but none of that takes away from the fact that the D’s had every branch and thus should have had the votes to get it done and they didn’t. If it was so all fired important to them they would have waged the war to do it and had the votes to do it, but they didn’t.

A child is rushed to the local "hospital" in Sneedville TN after suffering traumatic, life threatening injuries in a car crash
...........................................is there need to continue????????

Yes. I’d hope that hospital treated that kid regardless whether the parents can pay or not. The hospital shouldn’t be required to.

The blue dogs were really the ones holding it up.
