Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Well, 4% of 350M people would be about 14M. 1.1M would suggest Fidelity has about a 7.5% market share, and while I don't know what their actual market share is, that number passes a sanity test.

Point is, you could both be correct. I don't think the two stats are necessarily in conflict or mutually exclusive.
The Fidelity number is just retirement account balances (held with them). Doesn’t take real estate, bank accounts, or other assets into account.

The point was it’s easy to dismiss a % when you’re talking about 340M people. The actual whole number is significant.

I love roundabouts

People around here don’t even have enough sense to use a traffic signal or 4 way stop correctly
They put one on the outskirts of Winchester, TN, and you would have thought it was a toll booth the way half the people were acting. The other half were on meth and kept turning left on the roundabout.

If you guys could please say a prayer for me and my wife, she’s been in early labour now for 4 days and it’s not exactly progressing well. Would truly appreciate some prayers, good vibes or anything else you guys are willing to send our way. This whole process has just been exhausting 😅
Yessir. All the prayers

You think that’s bad, but wait until you see a double laned round about in Atlanta. Half the people here are on suspended licenses, or they’re from NY or Florida. Heads are rolling.

I agree roundabouts are effectively the best way to redirect traffic. It boggles me how much of a hard time some people have with them.

i like the way you talk

Institutional means the school is controlling it, not the fans. There's no rule about when fans can do it. Actually they aren't allowed noisemakers at all, except there, so there's no reason for a rule.
Yes there is. That was the essence of the compromise.,There are penalties for clamoring the artificial noisemakers when the center is over the ball. They need to be called. Moreover MSU is worried that the SEC will go back to a complete ban of cowbells, as they should, if the fans break the rule about no bells when the center is over the ball in SEC play.

I saw an asinine poll in the FF asking if the quarterback success under Heupel has been because of him or because of the talent of the quarterbacks. And almost half of the people really think that Heupel is just getting lucky with his QBs. I get that these guys have all been really talented, but it takes a great coach to squeeze every ounce of potential out of his QBs the way Heupel has. Just a reminder that....

Heupel's QBs have been:
-A benched Virginia tech QB
-A guy who throws the ball 70 yards when you need 10
-An overrated 7 on 7 QB who can't process a second read when he's not wearing pajamas
-An App State QB with a turnover problem who was 3000 miles away during spring practice.

Josh Heupel has coached those guys to a combined:

66% completion rating
97 Touchdowns
19 interceptions
39-16 record while building a team from the ground up and dealing with harsh recruiting restrictions.
Oh and by the way, this is all during the most talented-rich era of the SEC

It's Heupel's system. It's always been Heupel's system but it's also his coaching. He can scheme guys open all day long, but he also knows what it's like to play championship level football at the quarterback position. I can't think of many, if any other coaches who can really say that. He has been exactly where those guys have been and he knows what to say to them when they have questions. He's a true QB whisperer and people are finally starting to take notice again.

To say that Heupel has "gotten lucky" with his quarterback talent and play on the field is honestly an insult to the dedication that man has put into this job. Keep questioning him. People questioned his OL and WR this offseason. Look at us now.

This is too funny. Are you from Winchester? I’m originally from Huntland. Wonder if we know each other?

Haha Pendleton needs to just get over the ball immediately after each play to stop the cowbells or draw a penalty
