Eventually we’ll hit and have the right QB and the right depth around him like Tee got in 98. Heupel’s always gonna put a competitive team out there though with how they’re recruiting and the way his offense works.

BS PI calls that of course Herbstreet said were PI. He even tried to say Brazzel pushed off for the go ahead score and it was PI. Bias was unreal.

Hate to break it to you, but Brazell did push off on that catch.

This one makes me sick, but it also gives me mad hope. Vols 11-1, until they ain't, imo.

I want to agree, and legitimately hope you are right. But IMO we are 9-3 team this year.

We should absolutely beat Bama and UF but I don’t see us winning those on the road. If we can’t get obvious calls at home it ain’t happening in Tuscaloosa or Gainesville, and we aren’t good enough to beat those teams and the officials.

People can moan all they want about play calling, but we have no idea what the playcall actually was.

Could’ve been Aguilar not reading it right, could’ve been WR not running the correct route

This is why I don’t always get people being on the coaches. Joey is awesome, but he may have made the incorrect read. The middle was open though and Bishop didn’t hit it hard. But Heup was frustrated about something. I’ve now learned after watching old Nico highlights that the coaches have decent calls more likely than not.

The one that was most egregious to me was Humphries pushing off Redmond on his TD catch. Herbie said "it wasn't enough of a push off" to be OPI. It was a push off. That's exactly what OPI is.

I will say, Brazzell & probably Star only 2 guys that basically played “perfect” games.

Joey had some bad throws, other WRs & TEs had some drops they shouldn’t have.

So many plays though that could’ve been made.

Still you tell me, Vols have a chance to win at end of game with a FG inside 45 yards. I’m gonna be pretty happy.

Keep getting better, cause we have lots of youth playing now. Get healthier as well & win out!

You score 38 points and you should win with competent defense. Crazy with all the Nico crap our offense is on fire and our defense suddenly can’t seem to do anything. Hopefully getting some guys back will change that. I think our linebackers are a tad slow and one safety is pretty weak. Clearly miss the injured defensive tackles.

This team is better than last year. Just wait till McCoy, Hobbs and Moi is back. Hopefully they’re back for MSU and hopefully Gibson is back by Vandy

There are no "missed" holds when the VOLS are concerned. The refs can see all of ours but rarely see any of theirs.



*It's been that way for a long time.... especially if we're playing bama, georgia, or gata. Really, any SEC team we play.

And for good measure, they also see some we don’t commit.

Heupel also coached scared. Not his best game. Punting near midfield on 4th and 2 iirc isn’t like him. 3 straight runs after our turnover in the 4th was pretty infuriating. So many things to point to and b*tch about from this game. Feels like this team is outperforming their season projection but that loss is just brutal and should not have happened.

But you have to give him credit for the calls for putting them in that position. 1st and 4th quarter were a master class in offensive play calling.
