like Chumpton, a bust who did well against inferior HS talent and was over projected, deal with it
He is only a sophomore dude.....not a complete bust yet by any stretch. Give him a chance in this system and under these coaches before you throw the kid on the scrap heap. Guy by the name of Carson Palmer at USC was called a complete "bust" until his SR year.....he ended up doing OK for himself, dont ya think?
R-soph who has yet to put it together under 2 different coaching staffs.
lol @ comparing a heisman trophy winner @ a mental position like QB to a to a middle TN hs product who plays a position built on strength and intensity, save this message if Donald wins the Lombardi.
best case: he is a solid contributor as a JR/SR but will never live up to the 5* billing, deal with it

Someone said he has been moved to DE, or at least that's where he was practicing today.
So at LB we have McCoy(assuming knee is ok), Reveiz, Lathers, Frazier, Thompson, Askew. Is that about right for top 6? Anyone heard how Frazier and Askew have been doing?

Is this Chris himself? A message board is for discussing so if you have a problem with people telling their honest opinions on your favorite athletes then maybe you should not get on here. As for Robert Ayers he didnt do a ton as a r-FR but played in 9 games and had a sack but he stared a couple games his r-SO season and also did alot of special teams work. So that is not a good comparison. Ayers was a guy who didnt play a ton early on but had alot of promise something Chris Donald has not shown since he got on campus. Had CD not been a 5* guy hardly anyone on here would even probably know who he is based on the contribution he has put forth thus far.Who cares about stars! Since you like stars so much, why don't you meet CD coming across the middle, & see how many stars you can see! Lol! How has he not met the bill under this coaching staff, when we haven't even played a game under the new staff?? Robert ayers didn't produce until his jr-sr year, & last I checked, he was a 1st round draft pick, signed a fat contract, & was doing pretty good for himself! Honestly I don't think CD cares what you think of his abilities, neither do I, so you deal with it! Nobody is losing any sleep over what you or anyone else thinks negative bout CD.

You can find one example of anything, dont act like thats not a valid argument. Just because one guy can dominate D3 and make it to the NFL doesnt mean the NFL should take every good D3 guy. Inferior competition is a big deal and can make guys look much better than they are. In 2a ball at 220 there is a good chance he was one of the biggest guys on the field and with his speed and stuff and how some of the 2a programs are its not even fair.A guy named Patrick Willis from Bruceton, TN. (1A ball) was pretty good against inferior competition too. Didn't he turn out ok?
Come on man, bring something with a little more substance.
