People kill people for a very wide variety of reasons. The fact that millions of people are mourning for this guy when people kill others for subjectively worse reasons.
My theory? His death is just a vessel and/or excuse to justify more hate.
Just saw close up video immediately before the shot was fired showing someone (or two) standing behind Kirk clearly going to the bill of the hat, then the ear as though giving the signal to fire. This was immediately after the first question that was trans related. Do not have access to the video to post, but I'm sure it can now be found on the wire.
No. I don't gotta understand. There is no justification for this. Why are you and others trying to justify it? Yes. That's what you are doing. I look at them as evil because they just KILLED someone. That's JUSTIFIED.You gotta understand that people feel justified in this because Kirk advocated for violence against innocent Palestinians. They look at him as evil for the same reason you look at them as evil.

I agree it’s not normal people. But I believe a lot of it comes from the garbage we see online and in the news. And it’s not a partisan thing it comes from both sides. If someone who is mentally ill and already “hates” a group of people repeatedly see someone say “x is coming for your rights and your livelihood and you must do anything necessary to stop it” this is the responses we’re going to see imo. Until it’s addressed we’re going to continue to see this and maybe even more of a riseI do not disagree that murdering people for their ideas, or speech, or business policies is not normal. Indeed it isn't. But normal people are not committing these murders.
My theory is - you are glad he is dead. You are now justifying the killing by saying it will produce more hate. Obviously the people that mourn him should go too.
It's actually more dangerous to not hold that position. The subject of discussion is irrefutable proof your generalized "ought" isn't happening. And as you have reminded people can cause a response by others (trump and division). Therefore, kirk's murder may cause a response by others, too.
Dangerous position to hold, imo.
His death should be a wake up call for people to hate less.People kill people for a very wide variety of reasons. The fact that millions of people are mourning for this guy when people kill others for subjectively worse reasons is a headscratcher.

Then you should evaluate how your actions, words, etc have consequences for other poster like Ulysees. You, by your philosophy, have a role to play in his bad day, week, or year. It's actually more dangerous to not hold that position.
People should be acutely aware that their actions, words, or silence have consequences.
Or maybe people admired him? You're too intelligent for such a stupid statement.People kill people for a very wide variety of reasons. The fact that millions of people are mourning for this guy when people kill others for subjectively worse reasons is a headscratcher.

At present, no one knows who shot or what their motive was. When you know nothing, say nothing. Obviously, Trump didn't exercise appropriate restraint. Others still can. The man was worth more than using his death to cast aspersions on political opponents. What would you call this? It sure appears that that is an accurate description of what happened
Since I am trying to walk the high road...the highest road I can muster...during this discussion, allow me to go warp speed on that high road.
As a believer in Christ, and God's supreme control, what if Kirk's murder (since he seemed to be very steadfast in the Faith) was allowed to further God's message to unbelievers?
