Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

He could Nico them to the playoffs though. They scored 38 with him only getting 100 passing yards. They clearly just need a warm body back there lol
I’ll believe it when I see it. Just wait until SEC teams make him beat them with his arm. But they don’t have a horrible schedule.

I know many on here hate Notre Dame, but of the higher rated teams that lost, they should not be penalized too much. That was the best game of the week, and they showed they have the depth and the guts to compete at a very high level.

Bama and Clemson were dominated in their matchups, and the scores could've been much worse.

Texas lost a tough road game, and the QB was rattled early. If Arch can fix mechanics, they will be 10-2 and make playoffs.

Notre Dame had every chance to win that game and their QB (minus one bad decision in the second half on a WR screen) looks like he will be a winner. They have playmakers, a top shelf RB, and a defense that seemed better in the second half (Yes, Miami did go way too conservative). Both teams looked like playoff contenders in a 12 team format.

It was a statement by me. Guess you could say my claim. It’s not always about some kind of gotcha. It’s just I think he’s a good coach and average at best recruiter.
You have to be willfully ignorant to think Glen Elarbee can't recruit. Do you think we got the OL we have assembled right now through osmosis? Some other coach is actually coaching our OL and recruits and transfers know about it but we all think it's that bum Glen Elarbee? I don't understand why so many of our. "fans" need for our coaches to be bums! Y'all do this with Pope and Willie too and 99% of teams in the country would trade their coach for either of those guys in a heartbeat. Elarbee too. The news is GOOD! We have GOOD coaches actually! You're wasting time chasing misery instead of appreciating how good we actually have it!

I didn’t watch more than highlights but honestly his stats were not that great. I get it, he ran for over 100 yards but I want my QB to throw for more than 108 yards. That’s seems pretty horrible.
I watched the game. He didn't just run... He ran in circles and sideline to sideline, completely outside the framework of the offense.

Hey, do what you got to do to win the game. But Jackson Arnold tried to do the same thing against us and got benched. That isn't going to work in conference play. When he's operating in Hugh's offense it's gonna look like last year.

I think he’s right though. We looked good but it’s still early. UGA in Neyland will show us what we really look like this year.
Disagree. He doesn’t seem to know our team at all. Talked about defense stepping back but didn’t mention we played the whole game with essentially second string at CB and Star. And most of the game with 2-3rd string at DT. Once we get healthy, we are going to be dominant. Worried we won’t be for UGA and let it get away from us. But if we can get healthy at all slots, watch out.

Lol Texas loses to the reigning champs and all of a sudden they're definitely not playoff worthy?
I didn’t watch any of the game obviously but Texas held Ohio State to around 200 yards. That’s impressive, even if Ohio State did have a new QB. I imagine they get their offense going and they will be a tough out all year.
