This. Our local Cracker Barrel has fallen off a cliff with their quality the last several years. I guess that cancel culture thing got them to reverse course this time.I quit eating there because of their burgers. Actually, the food has been going downhill since Covid.
Or...I wouldn't put it past them to have done the rebrand knowing it would get them on the news and then make people care about them again so they could then reverse course and have idiots flocking to eat there like they saved the place. It's way too easy to create an uproar in this current sensitive climate full of pansies that are scared to death of every make believe boogeyman that certain scumbags on TV and online are telling them are coming after everything they love.
I just don't get all the constant pearl-clutching over something as insignificant as a restaurant trying to rebrand. All kinds of big companies have done it in the last 20 years and we don't hear all the whining until now. Bunch of folks take the bait every time. Whether Cracker Barrel seriously tried to rebrand or if they pulled a fast one, either scenario got a lot of folks to bite hard.
