I am curious every time I open this thread.

How many people who opine in this thread have actually been to Israel?

I have. The experience of seeing a beautiful woman with a purse on one arm and an UZI style automatic weapon on the other was eye opening (1988).
The Israeli people have to be vigilant 24/7 and live under the cloud of terrorism every day.

Oh cool, you went to Israel once. Were you there in 1967 when they decided to start a war with Palestinians and then took most of their land and illegally occupied the rest?

Were you there 3 years ago when they killed 15 kids, and blamed Hamas for 5 of them, and then it turned out to be a lie, and they were responsible for those 5, too?

Were you there in 1994 when Baruch Goldstein murdered 29 Palestinian worshippers and injured 100 more?

You think state-sponsored terrorism isn't terrorism and also ignore the fact that Israeli civilians have committed acts of terror, as well.

You saw a lady carrying a gun and you think you know something. JFC.

A lot of trips to Israel (especially the "free" ones like Birthright) are purely for propaganda purposes as well

The idea that a vacation would give someone world experience (regarding 80 years of complicated history) that trumps whatever we all can learn from consuming endless information about it reminds me of this subtle joke from ITYSL.

I did it right there in that post, did it before despite you lying about it and like Smokey/Persian have said it's just deflection and never holding Israel accountable for one single thing.

Condemn Israel for anything in this conflict. Go
Nope
You never have.
You claim you did but still refuse to do it because you are trash.
I, on the other hand, have gone into great detail with @Smokey123 about what Israel is doing wrong in this conflict, what I think of Bingi, and how I would proceed differently.
And will gladly do it again. The Solders who have been convicted of criminal activity, in every case I’ve looked into, deserve to be convicted.
That’s the big difference between Israel and Hamas. Accountability. And morality.

Implying that the only ones who did anything reprehensible were appropriately punished, followed by patting Israel on the back yet again, is not condemning them for one single thing. Proving the point again

An initial inquiry regarding the strike on the observation camera at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, which occurred yesterday (Monday), August 25th, 2025, was presented to the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, by the Commander of the Southern Command, MG Yaniv Asor, today (Tuesday).

From an initial inquiry, it appears that Golani Brigade troops, operating in the area of Khan Yunis to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, identified a camera that was positioned by Hamas in the area of the Nasser Hospital that was being used to observe the activity of IDF troops, in order to direct terrorist activities against them. This conclusion was further supported, among other reasons, by the documented military use of hospitals by the terrorist organizations throughout the war, and by intelligence confirming Hamas’ use of the Nasser Hospital to carry out terrorist activities since the start of the war.

In light of this, the troops operated to remove the threat by striking and dismantling the camera and the inquiry showed that the troops operated to remove the threat.

The Chief of the General Staff received the initial conclusions that were presented and instructed that the inquiry be completed.

At the outset, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the enemy conducts extensive and covert visual-intelligence gathering while cynically exploiting sensitive sites and civilian infrastructure, such as the Nasser Hospital, from which it carries out terrorist activities against IDF troops.

The Chief of the General Staff added that six of the individuals killed were terrorists, one of whom took part in the infiltration into Israeli territory on October 7th. At the same time, the Chief of the General Staff regrets any harm caused to civilians.

The Chief of the General Staff instructed to further examine several gaps:

Firstly, a further examination of the authorization process prior to the strike, including the ammunition approved for the strike and the timing of the authorization.

Secondly, an examination of the decision making process in the field.

The Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the IDF directs its activities solely toward military targets.

Whatever lies you need to tell yourself to justify the garbage you spew
Birthright being propaganda is a fact lol, that was the entire point of it. The organizers saw a survey that indicated that a lot of Jews didn't feel a connection to Israel and Birthright was explicitly intended to change that. They have mixers with IDF soldiers as part of the trip, and speakers like Netanyahu encouraging them to hook up with Israelis so they move there

I volunteered at a kibbutz after high school, Urim located 6 miles from Gaza.

Kibbutz Urim.
It was a miracle that it was spared from the massacre on 10/7

I was in Haifa. 1st chance I had to call my parents after we shot down the Libyan migs.

Proving the point. Everyone here has condemned Hamas; condemn one thing Israel has done in this conflict. Go

You just say that one line over and over and it truly lacks meaning.

“I have condemned Hamas! Now look at the evil thing Hamas claims the IDF did!”

It’s wild to me to condemn Hamas and then continually spread their propaganda

How about you? Are you capable of condemning a single thing Israel has done in this conflict, or stuck on zero things like everyone else?

The problem with "Israel is the most moral army in the world" is that it's not going to convince Hamas supporters.

If they cared about moral behavior from armies, they wouldn't be supporting Hamas in the first place.

Israel needs to learn that they are NEVER going to win the hearts and minds of those that want to kill them.

It’s not that hard to understand is it?

I didn’t comment on your “especially “
Your lying to yourself is bigger than that subject

Implying…..uhhhh, no. Those are examples of how civilized nations operate. I’m sure there are more that we don’t know about. But let’s deal with facts as opposed to your flights of fancy.
You called the murder of my friend “spamming “. That’s reprehensible , “especially “ for someone who lies on here constantly about his care for the loss of life.
I’ve gone back and forth on what I think about you. I’ve hung out with all kinds of people from VN. A lot I don’t agree with politically but we still have fun. But you…..I’m pretty sure that I would not want to know you.
