President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I was just wondering if it works out why is it bad if the USA makes money off it. Sounds like from you are saying the USA want
Are you this freaking dumb? That's your litmus test? If it makes money, the US government can do it. Just insert slavery, extortion, drug dealing, etc.

We live in the dumbest of times.

So was it ok in the chips and save act under Biden that so much taxpayer money went to Intel. If the USA owning a part of it now is it bad for the USA to make money back from Intel if they can?

Intel is a freaking dog.

Anyways, I have a long track record of not supporting CHIPS or IRA. Here's a snippet. I have a long track record for calling out Intel's incompetence

If the people who have run Intel the past 10-20 years ran these companies...

Amazon- Would only be an online bookseller

Netflix - Would only be delivering DVDs

Apple - Would only be selling Macs and ipods

Google - Would only be doing search

So we have you down for approving the incentives under IRA (the 25% Investment Credit and 45X) and CHIPS...

I really dont like govt picking winners and losers here. I dont like IRA and I dont like CHIPS. I can at least buy your argument as a rational justification....

And was convicted of it.
...give it time...the half billion fine was thrown out on appeal and the rest will be thrown out also

But the other point is Fed Govs. have resigned over suspicion not indictments so shouldn't Cook resign also over, not only suspicion, but signed papers?

Thats what I was wondering. So a lot of yall think its a bad investment

My thoughts on Intl from early 2022

A lot of similarities to T. They don't have the stupid acquisitions like T but neither company had the foresight to see changes in their industries (INTC with doubling down on desktops and T being slow to joining the 21st century)

The only way this works out is the govt gives them business they wouldnt earn otherwise and that gives them some short term stock pops...

Why you being mean. I don’t keep up with the stock market. I don’t own any stocks and don’t watch the stock market shows.
And yet here you are, attempting to engage in a discussion regarding something about which, by your own admittance, know nothing.

I’ll admit that on the surface using Intel as the test case to onshore chip fab capacity was a decent idea. Intel was a fab powerhouse quite a while back. Now that I’ve had a chance to look under the hood at Intel it’s what you posted. It’s hospice.

If we really want to onshore capacity across the board we need to coerce TSMC and UTMC to move capacity here. And I am pretty sure TSMC has started moving some capacity here.
