'26 TN QB Jared Curtis (Georgia commit)

He is good but Faizon has the higher ceiling which is who they preferred.

Did I say what the ceilings were and who our staff preferred? All I said is this guy is going to be a problem. He looks ready now.

I hope Faizon is as prolific as any duel threat that has come through but plenty of kids with "high ceilings" didn't reach their potential. Curtis looks ready now. I saw him as a freshman. He turned is team around. They was just missing the trigger man.

Btw, Bama is going with Simpson as their starter. I'm sure they want to be able to make a play for the younger Simpson.

I didn’t say you did. I added that statement on my own accord.

I hope Faizon is as well. He’s very good now but potential is through the roof.

I agree Bama will make a run at the younger Simpson.

He is good. Throw competition aside, that’s a difficult throw and he delivered a dart.

The competition is bad. It could be worse overall the our lowest public division because there are only a handful of teams. Plus it's easier to carve up high school defenses. That might be something to look at. However he is drop back throw first passer with decent athleticism.

Yeah bc as we all know UGA hasn’t had good football players up until Jared Curtis
Right! Saban had Bryce Young and we beat them. We will have great QBs and players. Heupel and co. has been upgrading the roster every year. UGA is likely going to be a tough team as long as Kirby is there but Kirby also views us as a very tough team. Believe he still holds practices just for our offense throughout the year.

They haven't had an elite QB under Kirby. Putting an elite QB on their usual roster would make them a super tough team to beat.
You can say that about a lot of teams though. UGA had multiple 5 star QBs that didn’t pan out for them. For example, Justin Fields was supposed to be darn good which he was for Ohio State. I think Jared is good but we don’t know for certain how good he will be.

Some of the QBs Kirby has signed:

- Jacob Eason (#4 overall player)
- Jake Fromm (#51 overall)
- Justin Fields (#2 overall)
- JT Daniels - transfer - (#6 overall out of HS)
- Brock Vandagriff (#34 overall)

Elite QB not elite recruit. Obviously Georgia has recruited elite prospects before. But none have panned out. Which is why I said I hope I'm wrong about Jared Curtis and he's another overrated 5 star QB signed by Kirby.

My fear is he's actually really good. And will be the first 5-star QB to actually pan out for them and become an elite college QB.

Justin Fields was not overrated and was an elite QB in college. Kirby blew that lol. He was the 11th pick in the draft lol.

But not at Georgia. This is about Georgia. Also given how bad Fields has been in the NFL, I'm of the opinion if he stayed in the SEC he would have been exposed sooner than the easy ride he had at Ohio State. Because Ohio State recruits far and away better than everyone in the Big Ten their QBs tend to be hidden in college. Its only in the pros we find out if they can actually play.

He can sling it and he’s a big dude. Just hard to predict when a player has been the biggest and fastest on the field and rarely plays or practices against D1 size and speed competition. Lbs in that league may be 5’8 140, not 6’3 220 sec caliber.
