Nobody said it was the worst thing experienced in US history.
However, I did say that there were people who Donald Trump granted full pardons to, who can be seen committing acts of violence against Capitol security agents and D.C. Police officers, as well as committing acts of vandalism inside of the US Capitol.
It was not the crime of the century, but that is not the point. They did not deserve to be granted full pardons ... but thanks to Donald Trump, they ALL got one, anyway.
There were people guilty of mere trespassing, who were deserving of receiving pardons. Those January 6th pardons should have been handled on a case-by-case basis, with those only guilty of trespassing given pardons, but that was not what Donald Trump did. Trump pardoned ALL of them and it was unjustified, and a slap in the face to the security and law enforcement officials who were assaulted by those (now fully pardoned) people.

Donald Trump's embrace of law and order does not apply to people who have committed violent crimes, while expressing their support of causes he believes in. Trump is completely self-serving.
These deployments of the National Guard amount to nothing more than grandstanding and divisive political posturing by Donald Trump. Law and order and holding people accountable for acts of violence and vandalism are not always a high priority for him. Trump has proven that.
