True, but the older you get the harder it is to do so. I don't have the thumb typing thing. I really don't need it though because I don't text incessantly. After a couple of back and forths, I call.

I disagree. End user technology is built for accesibility.

You could argue that old age fosters less of a desire or effort to simply learn new things. Old dog, new tricks.

Yes. The first and most critical responsibility of any government is to provide for the physical safety of its citizens. If it is incapable of doing that, anything else it aspires to do is meaningless.
Conservatives are not in favor of no government. That is the realm of the anarchists (and some libertarians). Conservatives want the smallest government possible that is still capable of doing its strictly enumerated tasks.
We don’t want a government telling us how many gallons of water our toilet is allowed to use per flush or what type of light bulb we are allowed to use. But we DO want a government that ensures that we can go for a walk in our neighborhood without being gunned down by a known criminal who has been let of of jail multiple times already.
Does that make sense?

.... but when it comes to natural disasters, Trump has said that each individual state should take the steps necessary to satisfy the needs of its citizens, wildlife and habitat. It is not the role of the federal government to play nanny to every state - Trump's words, not mine.

Like so many of Donald Trump's executive actions, this is grandstanding and hollow political posturing.

Less desire for sure, I'm not writing an academic paper to present..I'm talking to a variety of people in a forum. As long as the point get across punctuation and spelling is moot.

Safety and security responsibility in Washington, D.C. is shared between both local and federal governments, with the local government (like the Metropolitan Police Department) handling general public safety and the federal government managing security for federal property and the broader national interest. The federal government has historically exerted significant control over the city, but local agencies also play a crucial role in day-to-day safety and security.

So you are OK with DC leading the world in Capital City homicide rate? We are supposed to sit back and be OK with that? Democrats are OK, Republicans are not.

I’ll ask you, what would have been your solution? Sleepy J was at the beach, Trump fixes problems. Which do you prefer?

Yeah ....

Donald Trump made it clear that managing the safety and security of government property was a high priority of his on January 6, 2021 .... as well as holding people accountable for acts of vandalism and acts of violence against Capitol Security and DC police officers.

In other words, Donald Trump would never be in favor of wholesale pardons for people who were plainly seen on video committing violent crimes and vandalizing federal property.

This show of unity with law enforcement is rich. I'm not surprised that your cultish devotion to Donald Trump blinds you from his hypocrisy and phoniness.

This is nothing but grandstanding and divisive political posturing with a steaming hot pile of sanctimonious bull $hit thrown in for good measure.

All well after the fact .... and after he had called the rioters "very special."

.... and then we have the inconvenient fact that he pardoned all of them. Even the people seen on video assaulting police officers and committing acts of vandalism were given pardons. That means they could have the convictions which they pleaded guilty to, in many cases, expunged from their criminal records. So now, it's like it never even happened.

There is no excuse for that. Those pardons should have been handled on a case-by-case basis. Not everyone who was pardoned deserved one .... but thanks to Donald Trump, they all got one anyway.

That's your phony a$$ law enforcement President for you.
