That's ok, I appreciate your service. My older brother was an intelligence officer in the USAF from 1969-1973, stationed in SE Asia for most of that time. I've heard a plethora of eye openers

he pretty much only shares a border with Kazakhstan, pretty hard to invade thru another. and he just propped Kazakhstan up to maintain what level of control they do have. Putin wasn't able to do much during that strife because he was only a few weeks from invading Ukraine and needed all of his troops on that border. it was pretty clear Putin thought Ukraine would fall easy, and then could turn around to take Kazakhstan; and its been soviet revisionism since then.

for the rest, the CSTO is Russia's NATO. although a lot more dysfunctional. which is saying a good bit.

Another reason Russia hasn't taken the Stan's is that they really don't add much. Kazakhstan is the only one with real value. The only reason. Why Russia conquered these lands in the past was because they kept being invaded from those areas.

Belarus and Ukraine are really the only 2 of the republics that left Russia that are truly valuable. The rest are either tiny (Baltic states) or desert/mountains (like Kazakhstan).

the world map expands beyond the NATO nations and Russia. the only time in its history its been invoked didn't involve Russia.

also by putting most of europe all on the same team, they have stopped fighting each other. and they have stopped fighting Russia.

you have to ignore so much reality to form your opinions its amazing.

No, you are not located in the world, you are over here. Nobody in their right mind thinks someone is coming to invade over here and nobody think Europe is going to be invaded. Europe has already been invaded, they allowed the invaders in willingly, and they will collapse and eventually burn. Your ability to ignore that you have been bombing the world over and some how you are innocent is amazing and evil. Everyone has to fear you, that is the history of the time since you were born.

They are not on the same team, which is why you have been sanctioning and threatening your "friends". I'm sorry but your reality does not exist, its pure fantasy. I'm sorry but you at best are at Stage 1 on this, or worse. You are not the good guy, which is why you continue to lose and most likely this one will be lost either in part or full. The good guys don't lose and they certainly don't run. And the good guy promoting bombing people and getting into other people's affairs shouldn't be hiding behind a keyboard like a chicken.

go dig up posts of me in other threads. you will see me calling out our military involvement as bad.

I have repeatedly said in this thread we shouldn't be involved in Ukraine. you just have to lie about me to have any argument, because all you know is canned responses. you have repeatedly shown the inability of engaging in any critical thinking, relying on making stuff up so you can joust with windmills.

The existence of NATO is responsible for the longest period in Russian history since 1709, where they were not invaded themselves.

Good, I guess we are in agreement there. 🍻

My take is the Ukraine can't be saved in its 2022 form, once Russia took the Eastern side its just about how bad it gets for them or if they exist at all. Georgia and some of the other ones can be saved but it might be a very a small window. Smaller Eastern European countries should be preparing for where the real war will take place as they will be the first targets. Europe is on fumes.

The only thing keeping Russia's war time economy afloat is gas and oil, India is their washing machine for the vast majority of their products. Pressure on India to reduce/ditch Russian products is significant in this context.

A good if not majority of the oil going to India, get turned into gas from which India exports it to Europe. Europe is consuming huge amounts of gas and oil from Russia, and the only reason they really slowed down at all was the U.S. sanctions on European countries i.e. friends.

Or if Europe actually believed in all this nonsense, they would just turn off the import. Basically, Europe has no choice but to take the gas and oil, but they have to hide it because U.S. was going to sanction them i.e. friends.

This whole thing really isn't about the Ukraine, its about the collapse of Europe.

Europe needs the gas. This is about keeping Russia from expanding their influence back to previous borders and everything that comes with that.

Its all about Europe is going to collapse and they needed the fall of Russia. That probably isn't going to happen so the collapse and eventual physical war in Europe is now on deck.

No, they need everything - they are in the beginning stages of collapse which will progress at a faster rate once this situation clears. Delusion is the only thing keeping them going at this point which is why Macron is doing interviews saying the Ukraine isn't losing. Pretend.

It was always about Europe v Russia, one was going to collapse. Which is why they are presently buying Russian gas/oil from India instead of just buying it directly from them at a reduced prices. (some might say insane)

Once this settles, Europeans can go back to their favorite past time - killing other Europeans.
