Sounds like a fuel issue. Fuel filter dirty, bad fuel or something similar.Start the boat. Drive for 10-15mins, it dies. Starts back up and runs again for a minute then dies. Repeat.
What's wrong with it? I tried rubbing a wet rag on it already.
I supported you in your quest to have your screen named changed since you were the OG and this is the loyalty for with which I am rewarded. Under the bus goes old Glitch, now that you have your prize now. Well, I have a long memory and grudges are kind of my thing. You think you can toss me out with the trash like yesterday's leaving but....what was this about again? Oh yeah. That’s a big fat NO!! He did it once and we lost. Thats all you need to know. I will continue to do them hopefully.
I don’t care who makes them, but I think they’re one of the final steps to washing away the BVS stench. That’s a big fat NO!! He did it once and we lost. Thats all you need to know. I will continue to do them hopefully.
I was there, what a great night.Such a cool video here

Yes. Yes he did.
Believe it or not, he was hooked in the mouth. That's what was wild about it. My dad thought for sure I snared him til we got him in the boat. Then again, maybe I just got lucky and hooked him in the jaw.Man enki it sounds like we both grew up on the water. I spent so much time on lake Sinclair growing up it was so awesome. Caught so many crappie and catfish, nothing but great memories with my dad..........trying to give my son some memories of his own.
Those older fish and ski boats with the walk thru windshields were so roomy, you're right you could do whatever you wanted out of them. Did you catch that catfish or foul hook him? 5 lb catfish foul hooked would feel like 15 I'd bet, like a giant rock.
No way would I buy a used Jon boat anymore, they want almost as much as a new one now days.......besides I want a clean slate to set it up how I want it and I don't trust the trailers. Most of them for sale sit on raggedy trailers.
I was a student at Tennessee during that season. I knew both Mark Hovanic and Kelly Ziegler.
Both had the temperament of ‘roid rage. Not saying that they did anabolics, but they were definitely just one step away from violence. That’s the way you want your defensive front 7.
Kelly dated one of my fraternity’s little sisters. She was very sweet, a little naive, and absolutely gorgeous. During parties if she was there, she’d always get hit on. (She never really talked about her boyfriend). My favorite thing to do was to walk up behind the guy hitting on her and quietly whisper in his ear “you’re hitting on Kelly Ziegler’s girlfriend.” It was hilarious to watch the dude’s reaction and then the absolute fear that would overwhelm him. She really thought most of these guys were just being nice and talking to her…
My absolute favorite Zeigler story was at an offseason party at our frat house, football players would be bouncers for the alcohol. 99% of the time nothing happened so they got free drinks and we got to hang out with the football team. Well, one party this guy (no clue who he was) crashed the party, he was already drunk. He asked a young lady to dance, she said no. He grabbed her shoulder before she could walk away. She screamed Let me go! Before anyone else could react, Kelly was there behind him. Kelly grabbed him by his belt and neck and just threw him backwards over his head and over the back wall of our frat house patio. The guy bounced on the grass, drunkenly jumped up and ran off, never seen by us again. The drop was about 10 feet from patio level to ground. We asked Kelly if he knew how high the dropoff was? His response was: “who cares. He was causing trouble.”
The band started playing again and it was like nothing ever happened.![]()
I was wondering who you were setting straight.Yes. Yes he did.
But, you're not supposed to respond to that. Ole Wayward there believes that you should just scroll on past, if you disagree with his musings...clownish, as they may be. He, as much, said that as well. Yet, it's totally cool for him to stick his snout where no one asked him to do so.
That's the way to do it. Most fishing spots are right over yonder anyway. If you're on an impoundment, that trolling motor is all you need. Maybe a drift sock if they're generating.Believe it or not, he was hooked in the mouth. That's what was wild about it. My dad thought for sure I snared him til we got him in the boat. Then again, maybe I just got lucky and hooked him in the jaw.
This old jon boat. . . i've just noticed it sitting behind this guys garage for a couple years now. I bet I could get it cheap, maybe $200-$400. I may do it if all it needs is some tires and a motor, maybe some wheel bearings and little stuff. I bet he's got a motor for it in his garage or laying in the boat, but I'd rather just get it without a motor and get a little trolling motor for it. I saw some cheap temu type of motors for about $100 if I wanted gas power. . . I think they're just chainsaw engines anyway.
I'm worried what's gonna happen if I do get it. . . next thing will be a depth finder, then better fishing rods, new lures. I'll have $1k worth of stuff in a $200 boat![]()

Yeah, I figured just carry an extra battery and I should be able to go about anywhere I want. I'd like to find some sort of empty island I could pull up to, put up a tent and camp for a night without being murdered or fined like crazy. That's the way to do it. Most fishing spots are right over yonder anyway. If you're on an impoundment, that trolling motor is all you need. Maybe a drift sock if they're generating.
