unfortunately Rivals is the only other one who even has him as a 4 star, but still 37th best OT. On3 and ESPN have him way lower 55th and 69th (nice) OT.247 gave Osenda a 5th star

247's composite hasn't updated with the Rivals/On3 changes. in fact it doesn't look like the scores have changes at all, so I am just going to wait before posting the July update. I will work on getting all the new commits added with their June scores.
Great info and thanks so much for compiling a daunting list! However, didn't Tyran Evans decommit? Do you continue to follow our decommits, or just a little oversight? Thanks!we only have 7 players who have committed long enough to see more than 1 ranking update here post commitment. Faizon Brandon, Carson Sneed, Tyreek King, Brandon Outlaw, Tyran Evans, Gabriel Ossenda, CJ Edwards
of those 7 players 5 got better in both score & ranking. Carson Sneed, Tyreek King, Brandon Outlaw, Tyran Evans, Gabriel Ossenda
Gabriel has been our biggest mover. While Tyran Evans has seen the least.
Faizon Brandon's score went up, but ranking went down.
JC Edwards score stayed the same, but ranking went down.
to this point it seems like 247 doesn't drop kids for committing to UT, if anything a UT commit brings a bump.
once the season rolls around I should have enough data to properly say if 247 drops the new kids (late June early July commits) for committing to UT.
oh dang you are right. i missed that in my update. I will remove him from the list.Great info and thanks so much for compiling a daunting list! However, didn't Tyran Evans decommit? Do you continue to follow our decommits, or just a little oversight? Thanks!
this week compared to last week, yes.So 70% have dropped and the season hasn’t started….
Heard on Animal sports talk, Tyreeq King was updated and rose in position. No ideas how or where to confirm.Updated 9/15/25. Glad I waited from last week, basically there was zero change last week, but they must have updated over the weekend because pretty much everyone moved.
I added in the flips of Harris, Keys, and Blair.
overall 10 guys rose in the rankings, 3 stayed the same, 10 dropped.
However we rose in the rankings far more than we dropped. we rose a cumulative 194 spots overall. that averages out to be about 8 spots per player better. pretty sure a number of guys added a fourth star, but I don't track that.
Even if you take out our two biggest risers we still gained spots. A lot of the drops (4 of the 10) are tied at what I think of as "place holder rankings" because there are a bunch of people with that ranking, so it doesn't bother me if they drop.
For the traitors: (all since they decommitted)
Sneed has dropped 135 spots
J.B. Shabazz dropped 3 spots
Tyran Evans has risen 28 spots (this is down from 125 spots better in previous rankings)
Brandon Anderson has dropped 167 spots
Tyson Bacon has dropped 604 spots!!!!
I didn't check this last bit, but from tracking the names I have my general feel is that most of Alabama commits I am tracking rose, and most of Miami's dropped.
There was some weirdness, like Rouse's score dropped, but his rankings rose, so it seems like some recruiting site had a big update/change.
If anyone sees anything I need to fix let me know.
@McDad I am not dismissing what you are saying, or saying you are wrong. His ranking may have updated. However, there are a number of ways he could have improved and 247's composite may not have picked it up yet.Maybe I misheard. Thought his stare of TN player ranking improved dramatically.
My fault
Thanks for the details in your method. I wish the guy who subbed for Swain on Josh & Swain was on more frequently. He seems very connected to recruiting. His son is a player we've offered@McDad I am not dismissing what you are saying, or saying you are wrong. His ranking may have updated. However, there are a number of ways he could have improved and 247's composite may not have picked it up yet.
-I am pretty sure 247's composite isn't a "live" updating thing, I think they have to push thru any updates. based on what I have seen they don't update every week, and it tends to be over the weekend, I guess after all the HS games are done. So he could have improved, but they just haven't updated. this would apply even if it was the 247 rankings that changed.
-as a composite there are multiple rankings that go into it, so if he dropped somewhere else, or the improvement isn't that much, he may not have moved up. in what I am tracking
-There are two things I am tracking, "grade" and "national overall rank". Positional rank (is he the 5th best WR or the 10th best) I don't track, nor do I track state ranking (he is the 3rd best TN player, vs the 8th). so if his ranking, beyond the national overall ranking changed, I wouldn't catch it.
-right now 247 itself has him as an "unranked", 89 "grade" three star, 55th best WR. that is laughably low compared to every other site. so they have a lot of room to improve his ranking but it may not change much just because of averages. the composite, which includes 247's laughably low ranking, has him as the 105th ranking 95 "grade" four star, 11th best WR.
-from looking at the numbers I will say there are times they don't make sense because I don't know exactly what they mean. using this update as an example Brayden Rouses "grade" went down, but his "national overall ranking" went up. The opposite has also happened. The composite also has what I call "place holder rankings/grades" where they just kinda lump a whole bunch of kids as the same. typically doesn't happen to 4 stars, but as I noted 247 has him as a 3 star. Those place holder rankings/grades REALLY don't make sense. sometimes its 10-20 players all with the same ranking and grade. sometimes there are multiple guys "ranked" the same even though they have different "grades", and sometimes the same "grade" turns into different rankings.
-the grades I show are rounded. 247 composite shows them as a 4 digit decimal. I just treat it like its a percentage, and only track the whole number. For instance Tyreek is a .9513 on 247's composite. I just say he is a 95. so if the third and fourth digits change, I don't track it. This could also be where he got better but it doesn't show up in my data. The next guy above Tyreek is .9522, the guy below is .9510, so there is some wiggle room for his averaged composite score to go up, but not impact his "ranking" or the "grade" that I show. for what its worth, down in the 3 stars the gaps are in that 4th decimal point, so a gap in the third decimal point is significant.
-there is also the ever so popular "247 hates UT"
