Didn't know there was such a test. All 4 grandparents and 2 parents have high cholesterol, but I'd still like to see if it's genetic.I have high cholesterol, and my NP (who I see instead of an internist) recommended a Calcium test as well. It came back zero as well, and it was reassuring. I am in my mid-40's. She is encouraging me to also take a blood test that can tell if your cholesterol is genetic. I haven't done that yet.
@VolsDoc81TXPretty sure nobody thinks we’re going undefeated. Think most people are expecting 9-3.
You expecting Kiffins year of 7-6 is wild lol
Thanks as always. I've lowered my expectations just on depth concerns.
Still thinking this looks a little like Kiffin's year. QB struggles early and strong late in season. Please just no Mt Cody kicks against Bama.
Not surprised on playmakers. Hurts that all the guys that could be difference makers either have no experience or are hurt. I imagine we will miss a guy like squirrel.
and by that I mean give up.View attachment 762656
Still comes down to rakrooting on O for me. We've all heard the schtick 1000 times, beside at this point the team is what they is.
Good news is we have a really really good base, on campus. Once this core group of offensive players gets time in the saddle its going to be nasty. But there are going to be some growing pains.
Still would like to have that difference maker.
But man, getting that TE from Oregon.
Add TK, and or Hiter.
As far as 2025, either make time to watch, or find some crocs, and watch your grass grow.
I agree. Ellarbe has given high praise to Pendleton. Although his comments on Satterwhite didn’t instill a lot of confidence.I've yet to see anyone say Satterwhite isn't doing well at center. All I've seen is that Pendleton is likely going to start and we've not heard a single doubt about Pendleton until KingVFL posted. We've got too many folks making assumptions and then stating them as if they are facts. Truth is...we don't have a great grasp on how things are going and that's by design. The only thing we know that's going great is Heupel's effort to keep a lid on things.
There is a podcast called, The Oldest Stories, that is pretty good imo. He is an amateur podcaster, so sometimes the sound quality isn't the best...especially in the early episodes. However, Gilgamesh and ancient Akkadian/Mesopotamian historical stories is where he focuses at first. He does a pretty good job of showing all the connections and eventually bouncing back and forth between Babylon, the Hittites, Assyria, and whoever else happened to be the dominant power of a certain date range. He eventually makes his way to the Levant as the history of Egypt and the Phoenician cultures all intersect with Mesopotamian cultures at some point or another. Highly recommend if you are interested in that period of history.
Was he really that much better from game 1 until the OSU game?I think Gmac should start if he is the most consistent and best player. Period.
I said we should have started Nico form the start and got killed. But he needed experience and he may have been much better Last year with the experience.
I think many QBs can put up those numbers with this offense so just play the talent.
From what I saw in spring, the commentary was more relative to where he was last year than relative to his preparation to be a high-end SEC starter right now. I think Merklinger is on track to be a low-end SEC starter by his RS-JR season or so. I want nothing more than for him to succeed at Tennessee but my bet is he ends up at a place like VA Tech, NC State, Georgia Tech, UVA etc and has a solid two years for them. It's interesting to look back at Spring practice reports and even some comments shared from some HS coaches that got to watch a Spring practice where the consensus was that Merk was looking great. Can't help but wonder if the starting spot actually being open has put more pressure on him than he can handle. This obviously is all based on limited practice reports and maybe he's actually doing better in 11-on-11 when the media isn't there...but it sounds like he's struggling.
That's my optimistic hope. He's definitely going to turn the ball over more but hopefully give our guys a chance to go make plays. We have a solid stable of RBs but no Dylan Sampson. I hope someone can be a deep threat like Thornton, but I've yet to see it.Can one of these guys be close to what Nico was? Okay then you are looking at something between 8-10 wins. All reports have said JA's deep ball is good to great that alone I think can add 7 points a game for us so why all the panic lol.
I disagree, respectfully. And I think the coaches are adapting to new college football too. These kids will transfer in a heartbeat and are looking to play three years max now. You have to play them early or they leave. It’s the new college football. It’s why you see UGA, us, and others having mostly underclassmen filling our team. It’s the new way. Times have changed and you can’t redshirt and develop talent for years. Not saying you're wrong but that's just not the way they do it. The model from the NFL seemingly is to let them sit a year or 2 and then start. It's a gamble either way. Maybe a freshman Nico doesn't get you 8 wins. Maybe they get injured because they are an 18 year old playing against 21-24 year olds. I think you only play a freshman if they're your best option because the QB room is so bad or because they are just that good and you can't sit them, kinda like Trevor Lawrence.
I think most people are in the 7-8 wins/could be pleasantly surprised club but a select few will get sucked in and forget that our QB royally screwed everyone involved for this season. They’ll be calling for heads that we didn’t make the playoffs. Just what it is.Can one of these guys be close to what Nico was? Okay then you are looking at something between 8-10 wins. All reports have said JA's deep ball is good to great that alone I think can add 7 points a game for us so why all the panic lol.
The schedule is not easier.I think it’s funny if anyone is worried. Seems we have the same team as last year pretty much. Lean on a strong running game and have an inconsistent QB. Defense will be rock solid and really good. We went 10-2 last year and the schedule is better this year IMO. I think we can still get 9-10 wins with the same method as last year.
He didn’t run out of bounds on the last play of the game. Improvement! Was he really that much better from game 1 until the OSU game?
I must have missed all that improvement!
