You told me journalists weren’t allowed in Gaza?

Shockingly though, you have another poor example. Your martyr is a known Hamas member

Thank you Huff for exposing who Al Jazeera really is and that it’s never too late to stand on the right side of history.
State-sponsored terrorism exposed by Huff, never would have imagined this day would come. 💙 Give yourself credit, it is a big deal.

The IDF confirms carrying out a strike in Gaza City that killed Anas al-Sharif, an Al Jazeera reporter who the military says is a “terrorist operating under the guise of a journalist.”

“The terrorist Anas al-Sharif served as a cell leader in the Hamas terror organization and advanced plans for rocket fire against Israeli civilians and IDF forces,” the military says in a statement.

The IDF notes that in October, it published documents seized in Gaza that it says “unequivocally” confirm Sharif’s “military affiliation with Hamas.”

“These documents serve as proof of the terrorist’s integration into the Qatari Al Jazeera media network,” the IDF says.

Just doesn’t make any sense. Hamas would never operate so close to a hospital!

You know, talking about Mahler made me realize just how pointless it is discussing anything relating to Jewishness in this thread with a handful of individuals who will probably never see the light.
So I am bailing here and going to start a new thread under the pub for people who just want to celebrate Judaism and the incredible contributions of Jewish artists, writers, and composers.
I am not a Jew but I owe them such a debt of gratitude. I once heard a great thinker say that the West was built on Mesopotamian civic sense, Greek philosophy, Hebrew morality, and Roman Law.
May the Peace of Jerusalem dwell in your hearts.

With respect, @MAD, there are innocent lives in Gaza. There are many innocent children. Their lost lives are a shame.

There are others in Hamas whose ideology would doubtless be different if they were ever exposed to thoughts outside Hamas’ dogma. Sadly, those people, those who are redeemable, are products of their environment.

There are likely others who are caught up be circumstances of birth, and are caught up in a conflict they did not chose and do not want.

But, this is war. And it is a war that started on October 7, 2023, by actions of the governing authority of Gaza- Hamas.

Israel has every right to defend itself, and importantly, to try to ensure their future security. They have determined that involves eradicating Hamas. I don’t blame them.

Lincoln and Grant demanded the unconditional surrender of the Confederates.

The Allies would never have let Hitler or the Tojo remain in power at the end of WW II.

Sadly, the end of both those conflicts led to lots of suffering and death on the part of innocents. This war is no different.

The only argument that the anti-Israel propagandists on this board have is to somehow minimize Hamas initial atrocities into a small part of an ongoing skirmish in which the Israeli response is disproportionate,
In reality, Israel does care about proportionality, they see this as an opportunity to eliminate at least one of the many threats to their existence.

This is war. The side Huff has chosen to be against is prevailing, and he doesn’t like it, so he makes nutso statements.

I wish the killing, all of it, would stop - even that of Gazan innocents.

The fact remains: if Hamas released all hostages and surrendered their authority in Gaza, this conflict would end. I don’t know what would follow, but the killing due to Hamas’ attack and hostage taking would end.

Hamas has all the power they need to end this conflict. Just like Lee/Jeff Davis in the 1860s. Just like Hirohito ultimately did for Japan in 1945.

What stopped those wars? Surrender.

Huff and EV, et al want this to be a conflict without resolution (surrender) because the side they do not support is prevailing.
Nice except for the bad history and false ascription of what I and probably others want.

There's more to hamas' list of atrocities. How does it compare to Israel's?
I’m done here. It is a waste of both of our time. You just can’t seem to get over whatever it is that is bugging you. I pray for healing for your heart and for your eyes to be opened.
Peace

Let us know if you think of an answer. Also to the question of heirs.

Didn't one have hostages being kept in his apartment?

So the IDF told you that one time and that means it was true and will always be true whenever they say it?

Israel lies. Do not believe Hamas. Do not believe Israel.

There is a reason they won't let 3rd party journalism in Gaza.

Because Hamas has no history of having "journalists" in their ranks, right?

Did Israel tell you that?...

The guy holding hostages was a "freelance" journalist who openly stumped for Hamas. They want to make it seem like Hamas is everywhere hiding among journalists. He wasn't some employed journalist pretending to be unbiased and doing spy ****. He was just Hamas and published some articles. He was spokesman for the Hamas Labor Ministry, so nothing like this Al Jazeera story where IDF is the only party making the connection.

I imagine there might be secret Hamas guys in the ranks of the journalists, but I'm never going to believe Israel is telling me the truth about the HUNDREDS of journalists they murder until they prove it.

Dear antisemites,

We have to talk.

Your Jew hatred reminds us daily why we need Israel, so thank you for that.

Antisemitism isn’t a result of the state of Israel. The state of Israel is a result of antisemitism.

This war isn’t happening because they didn’t have a state. It’s happening because they did (Gaza).

Just thought you should know that we are not going to apologize. Those days are over.

- We won’t apologize for defending ourselves.

- We won’t apologize for living in our home. All of it. Every last inch.

- We won’t apologize for existing.

- We won’t apologize for the effects of war, a war we didn’t start and we didn’t want.

- We won’t apologize for hungry Gazans who don’t get the food we send in because Hamas steals it.

- We won’t apologize for defending the Druze in Syria.

- We won’t apologize for taking Gaza back after we left it 20 years ago with the hopes of making peace with our enemies.

- We won’t apologize for checkpoints that were put up when our enemies sent suicide bombers into our cafes to kill Jews.

- We won’t apologize for destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities.

- We won’t apologize for supporting our democratically elected government.

- We won’t apologize for calling out antisemitism when we see it.

- We won’t apologize for our loyalty to the state of Israel where our safety is top priority.

- We won’t apologize for calling out the fake starvation in Gaza.

- We won’t apologize for being the chosen people.

- We won’t apologize for our neighbors not having their own state after learning what they do every time we tried to give them one.

- We won’t apologize for owning all the incredible things the Jews have brought to the world.

I know it’s hard for you to grasp that the Jews are now strong and you can no longer bully us but you’re gonna have to get used to it.

The apologetic Jew with the exile mindset is gone and the strong Jew is here to stay.

Just thought you’d like to know. We are done apologizing.
