I remember reading it as part of another book. Seasons Change or something along those lines. It had like 3 or 4 books in one, Stand by me (although I think it may have been called something else), Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil, and maybe something else. I believe I was in Kuwait in the desert when I read it, they were all great.
