Are you talking about the TEs practicing blocking and releasing into a route or the defenders shedding blocks? Because neither one is what an OL should doAll the people who scream holding all game long should have to watch the 3rd video on repeat. The idea is grab the man, on offense or defense, on the numbers and sling/shove him where you want him to go.
Yes. Earlier last week we saw the Line being told "Grab the jersey, it's right there!"Are you talking about the TEs practicing blocking and releasing into a route or the defenders shedding blocks? Because neither one is what an OL should do
I saw a video of what appeared to be TEs fighting against press coverage or punt coverage players blocking then fighting free from the opponents punt return blocking. None were OL.Are you talking about the TEs practicing blocking and releasing into a route or the defenders shedding blocks? Because neither one is what an OL should do
Players are so big and fast these days, injuries are bound to happen.Seems as though our WRs and CBs are made of glass. Hope they are all minor injuries that they are being cautious with.
Respectfully, can't be trotting out guys like Weary at WR or McMurry at CB every other drive
You got to practice contact, if you don’t practice it your bound not to be ready and likely to get injured from not being ready for contact. I get being injury cautious but there is a balance. You can’t coddle just to coddle either. Not saying we are, to be a physical hard nosed team you got to embrace contact and conditioning. Personally I don’t think any of our players are that injured and expect all to be back soon. McCoy is the only one coming back off a true serious injury I believe. Nicks, bumps and bruises aren’t true injuries they are just part of the game. GBOPlayers are so big and fast these days, injuries are bound to happen.
I hope they stop the full contact drills early enough before the season starts
that players have time to heal.

NFL players are bigger and stronger overall and they have lots of contact in practices as guys compete for only 53 spots on the roster.Players are so big and fast these days, injuries are bound to happen.

I recently listened to Ryan Day talk about how they've changed practice to involve less full go sessions of practice. Said it has helped with injuries tremendously (obviously)Players are so big and fast these days, injuries are bound to happen.

RYAN DAY! Don't be listening to that guy. jkI recently listened to Ryan Day talk about how they've changed practice to involve less full go sessions of practice. Said it has helped with injuries tremendously (obviously)
It's part of the reason they have those tracking vests on these days. To monitor each player with live tracking of heart rate, speed, sprints, how far they've run, etc. Need to use it.RYAN DAY! Don't be listening to that guy. jk
At one time the staff kept up with the practice minutes a player had supposedly to not overwork players, not sure if that's still a thing or not
That's a pretty easy concept to use when you're stacked deep with talent every year at most positions but most schools aren't in that position.RYAN DAY! Don't be listening to that guy. jk
