That's racist!

The vast majority of the traffic driving those stories has been from the right, and you still do not know what a "majority of the left" which consists of tens of millions of people means

Explain how, quickly. I already said I don't care about the ad, pointing out that you are full of it isn't being triggered and this is the argument of a middle school boy
And you're not triggered? Constantly posting about it?

But does the news actually matter?
Obviously it does, because the masses follow what the news says. You think people sat around during covid all by themselves, and decided to call people antivax? People who'd taken every vaccine, except that one mind you. You think people just collectively decided to start calling Trump a racist, instead of being influenced? Remember "stand with Ukraine "? Every liberal profile on social media was changed to that, changed to "i got my vaccine ", etc, etc. Absolutely the news has influenced people, and the other side as well, except they don't go out and attack people when triggered by a news story.

But the point is is that a majority? You notice the loudest idiots. That goes for any side. The average right wing joe is not what the media says the average right winger is. The average left wing joe is not what the media says the average left winger is.

You will always remember the obnoxious dumbasses just like you remember the guy that cut you off in traffic. You don't remember the thousands of other people driving just fine that you went past.

How do I not know what others think? If I don't know what you think, it's only because you forget what you're posting halfway through a "discussion" and change topics throughout. You've told me you think voting matters but also that it doesn't, that a movement has one meaning but it also doesn't... come on now. Keep up with yourself.
I never stated or implied voting does not matter. Or that a movement has meaning but doesn't; I stated the movement is the message, not the messenger.
I think it's reading, not just comprehension, you've a problem with.

Sure, it may represent someone, but that someone is not a majority, isn't worth listening to, and certainly isn't representative of anything of value.
But a majority didn't want to declare independence from Britain. Hitler was a human speck, until he wasn't. With practical uniformity, both parties agreed within the last 15 years this was a good nation, that border and national security and policing were necessary and good things. We agreed on basic biology and recognized dysphoria as reason for psychological care, not eradication of sexual organs.

Tiny minority voices connected with power and money turned all those things, even mainstreaming them, in fantastically short time. They grew in shadows - and have a common parentage - precisely because we became inattentive. And because they misrepresented who they are and we believed them.
I don't think numbers are a symmetric indicator of the potential for good or malevolence.

It's the majority of the news, when all the news is reporting it. Not the people.

Does that mean you are triggered for constantly responding, including responding twice to my last post? Or is that different?
No, I just started by making fun of those who think this commercial is the doorway for the rise of nazism in America 😆. Plus, I was killing time waiting to get ready for work 😁

You are missing my point entirely. The president only has control over certain things- chiefly, his own branch. He has influence over his party, but not always control.

I expect the president to focus on his own things. I expect the president to do all in his power to reign in his branch. I expect damn near perfection in that.

My point was about this culture war ********. A national "culture war" is a waste of time. Our civilization in the US resets itself and heals over time from the local level. Not from a national politician or a co-opted movement.
Culture war. Thanks Barry

For example, if someone told me a thing was racist that I hadn't previously considered racist, I would try to understand where they're coming from, not just throw a temper tantrum and complain about it for the next decade. What harm was even done to me in that scenario? People talk about being "over it" when nothing bad even happened to them
Ok then. What point do those calling the Sweeny ads racist, have?

It's literally every news source. The majority of the left is in meltdown because she's pretty, and white. She's not any other race, gay, a mentally challenged man pretending to be a girl, and they can't stand it.
No they aren't. They are pandering to fringe who lap this up. It's similar to what outkick does.

But this story does seem to have been picked up by a lot of media that should otherwise ignore it for what it is.

EXACTLY like I said above. This is Fox and this article just says "some viewers" and quotes 2 people. You keep reading about the fringes and calling it "the majority of the left" because it feels better for you. And then people will use those fringes to claim victimhood and go "well I give up on not being racist" lol
Is a local fox affiliate, not Fox network.

Except the attack in Cincinnati. That was a "brawl". Or so the media says.
Which media? Did ABC, NBC, or CBS even mention it? It doesn’t fit their narrative.

But a white girl in a jeans ad, horrendous! Even though Beyoncé basically did the same ad. But that’s OK.

More of the same, people wanting to be victims of imagined persecution and then turn around and say "well I don't care if what I say is 'racist' anymore because everything is"
But what they said wasn't racist. That's what your missing. I have good genes doesn't mean you have inferior ones. If any group wants to be upset it should have nothing to do with race. Unattractive or over weight? Ok.
