The idea that being a good role model is about external appearance to you is something you should probably think aboutYeah, Lizzo is so hot. What a great role model for Americans. They even made a statue that looks just like her. To Hell with trying to be even remotely attractive or healthy. We need more obese, foul mouthed women that are morally bankrupt like the modern Left.
Since you said "your side," how many people are participating in this boycott? Is this a cause taken up by millions of people or is it (and I'm betting it is) some tiny fringe group that you heard from a conservative source that won't shut up about it?
You're definitely wrong. Only 3 people are talking about this (1 person at MSNBC and 2 people on Fox 5). Quick math tells me that's 0.1%. Move on.X (Twitter) is pretty much irrelevant now. Nobody is using that platform anymore.
TikTok is the platform that most Americans under 50 use now. There’s probably a few thousand or more viral videos about boycotting AE.It seems like Ever other video is in reference to boycotting American Eagle.
This whole "genes" discussion is really dumb. But we aren't helping it defending obesity as a role model. That's all Marcus was offering. I'm old enough to remember the other side of the convo when the super skinny models were used and collectively society fretted over the influence of the "heroic chic" esthetic. The idea that being a good role model is about external appearance to you is something you should probably think about
But that in itself is a strawman. She is a famous musician who is also overweight. She's not famous for being hot, she's famous for her music, and it sounds like what people want is for her to publicly be ashamed of herself constantlyThis whole "gene's" discussion is really dumb. I know very little of her but I think she has caught a lot of attention as being large-body positive. Like wasn't one of her album covers her in the nude? I don't know what other people want for. I was adding to what I interpreted Marcus as wanting. But that in itself is a strawman. She is a famous musician who is also overweight. I don't think any of that would make her a bad role model. Being comfortable in one's own skin is a good thing, especially in the face of the negative comments she constantly receivesI know very little of her but I think she has caught a lot of attention as being large-body positive. We aren't talking about the same aspect of her obesity.
I hope you are feeling at least somewhat better man, that sounds like an incredibly rough 2 weeks. Sorry to hear that.I certainly didn't mean to imply that because she was obese she couldn't be a role model either. I have heard her lyrics and read about her lifestyle and legal troubles...her personality/actions are why she shouldnt be a role model for young women. Very few people are comfortable with their appearance and most who are have worked hard at it in the gym, running distance etc to achieve their shape. I was a skinny kid up until i was allowed to start lifting weights at 13 and it still took a couple years to put on the muscle I wanted. Skinny guys are every bit as self conscious as those who are overweight. My MIL has a thyroid problem where she barely eats at all...almost nothing...and is still probably 30 or 40lbs over weight for her height/build. We all have genetic predispositions and very few people are just naturally the ideal shape that folks want to be ...and even those who are often end up shaped much differently as they age. I was sick recently and lost 10lbs of muscle in 2 weeks. It will take 6 months in the gym and eating more than i want to at meals to get that mass back. It sucks, but I am used to it because I have always been this way. I know others have their issues to deal with as well so I certainly dont feel sorry for myself.
One thing we do need to address in this nation is childhood obesity. The % of children that are obese today is startling. This wasn't the case when you and I were kids, and its not gonna just go away. I think most of it is diet (like corn syrup and highly processed foods) but part of it seems to be not playing sports or going outside as well. I am not talking about chubby kids, that's not a big deal IMO. I am talking about obesity. I don't pretend to know the answer, or believe in government intrusion into how we raise our kids...but it seems like some changes need to be made somewhere to address this problem. Its not fair to the kids themselves, and like most problems today likely stems from parenting or the lack thereof...
I didn't think she could get any hotter.311K views · 12K reactions | Do you think Sydney Sweeney has great splits? | Taran Tactical Innovations
First, the ad and uproar with AE, now she’s exercising her 2A rights at TTac.![]()
Has there been any video surface that supports Cincinnati leadership’s position that this was a “brawl” with two groups trying to “knock each others heads off”?
There must be something that led up to the attack seen on the videos posted thus far?
Any of the other combatants that were party to the “brawl” been charged?
