I like SP. One of the finest satirical shows ever. I don’t watch it often because of the gratuitous foul language. Not a prude, just do not think it is required. Matt and the other guy are smarter and better than relying on it. To me, it is a form of laziness in script writing now. Movies suck because of it.

But it is a great show. I always enjoy its virtually unerring ability to hit the target. And as someone mentioned, Trump will not be able to help himself and will most likely respond. Poorly.

It can be laziness, but it can also be your brand to be vulgar with an intelligent layer of satire beneath that. It's laziness if that is all there is. It's hard to watch Eddie Murphy Raw anymore. At the time, a lot of it was great because it was like, "I can't believe he's saying this," and it doesn't hit like that anymore, and there's nothing left.

Episodes from season 1 of South Park don't hit the same anymore, but you're left thinking "Holy ****, I can't believe they did an episode about accepting gays back in 1998."

These are just about the least lazy guys in Hollywood.

Agree with this and especially about them not being lazy. People as successful as they are, very rarely if at all, are lazy. But doesn't mean in every aspect they aren't. I think they are talented and smart enough to not have to do that.

Watched it and was kinda meh. They missed a lot of opportunities like when they were taking about nothing being illegal. They left a good jab there about being Mexican. It really was just low hanging fruit for liberals.

Overall, it was kinda just recycled movie stuff. I didn't care if they jabbed at Trump because they jab at everyone, but they've done better.

It was alright. I liked the Garrison Trump better.

Saw the episode. It was funny. The part with Jesus telling everyone to STFU was hilarious. The fact Trump and his knobgobblers got upset at this is really just a testament to their low self esteem and low opinion of their own self value. Anyone with an ounce of self confidence would have laughed this off.

South Park has always been gold, no matter who they are poking fun at. Everyone should appreciate a good roast. Some people get upset when the finger is pointed at them or someone they like, but they shouldn't. I remember the Macho Man Randy Savage claiming he was trans so he could compete in the Strong Woman competition. Hilarious! They go after everyone.

I think the idea is to layer the jokes. They have very sharp, highly topical commentary covered in the icing of toilet humor.

To me, they put a lot of effort in creating the biggest disparity possibly between the two layers, amd that's what makes it so funny.

Cannot disagree. To go this long and still be one of funniest shows on TV is amazing.

Speaking of Rick and Morty earlier, S8E6, the little short after the credits is absolutely 💯 LOL.
