New York City

Is this incorrect? You tell me. As of 12/7/23
You DO realize that, with the cost of living there, a „millionaire“ in NYC is basically middle class in terms of purchasing power, right? Of course there are more of them, it’s just that their money is horribly devalued.
Check on some apartment prices in Manhattan and tell me how far $1,000,000 will take you.

Absolutely...I was just researching the the Denver Star program. It seems successful to those particular situations and I'm all for that but crime overall is up in Denver so it's not a deterrent..its alternative to mental hospitals. Cuz they literally connect them with help which is great but also flood the system and they have longer wait times for help.
Same page. The 'defund the police' than I am wanting to see tested, is not going to be a deterrent. I hope is better connects poeple in need with resources available. Criminals, threats, and the like are still best left to the cops.

It's easy screaming millionaires need to pay more. They put every millionaire in one box without considerations from where they live
Hence the dem pols love to scream class warfare though they know a millionaire in Georgia is different than a millionaire in NY. They gin up the population to hate success. Karl marx would be proud

Envy is a dark but powerful drug.

Lol. Here come the social workers again. There aren’t enough mental health workers to remotely cover nyc and it wouldn’t make a difference regardless. When all the “maga” billionaires leave we know what happens next.
How may maga billionaires live in NYC?
Where would they go? There's no Wall Street or Park Aveue in Lenoir City.

Poor Thurston Howell the third doesn’t quite seem as incredibly rich in terms of today’s „millionaires“ does he?

I had a feeling we would be. The Denver star program is impressive

Isn't that what social workers are supposed to do anyway...most just do t want get outta their air office chairs to actually help...that's why the Star program. Has been effective, but now the programs are overwhelmed because they never really helped before....also I treating was the Democrat of those helped...only 22% we black and 7% Hispanic..small sample sample size to how it would be recovered in say more urban sections of the city.

There's trading and there's being close to other industry actors for meetings and such. And NYC offers lifestyle choices that many like.
Gee, if only someone could invent a technology that could enable virtual meetings!
Plus megabillionaires can fly into NYC in their private jets for the day as needed.

I live in Manhattan, don't make a million a year and can afford anything I want or need (not as cheap as I would prefer, but hey)

I honestly do not know how most social worker's approach their career. I have known a few who went to college for social work. wonderful people. really want to help others but have become disillusioned with the 'system' and bureaucracy that comes with the work. McRib routinely works with social workers in her hospital. She speaks highly of them.

I believe your correct...I think programs like Denver, will only last until those one of interactions results in death of the worker...bureaucracy is a huge issue..

Well it was in quotations. I’m sure many lean closer that way every time they hear some liberal moron screech “pay their fair share”.
