The Atlanta Braves

I don't think he's figuring anything out up here. He's lost
It’s exactly what he did as a minor leaguer, he was just significantly better than the competition.

Organizational FAILURE at every level to see ozzie and mike take the at bats that they take every night, and every night for the last 4-8 years.

I have learned to never give a contract extension to someone with a walk rate less than 7%.

8th percentile bat speed
5th percentile hard hit rate
9th percentile barrel rate
12th percentile expected slug
10th percentile average exit velocity

Those wrists are cooked

By the way, is Paul Skenes an actual human? Lowest ERA to start a career in over a century. He's doing stuff that hasn't been seen since the dead ball era.

I don't think they'll move him from DSL, but Tornes is not at all challenged right now. Has hits in 11 straight and many of those are multi hit games, 8/9 BB/K ratio and 12 stolen bases. I wouldn't be as stoked to see this if he wasn't just 16, but the Braves haven't had a stand out in the summer leagues in a LONG time.

Would not surprise me to see him on some top 100 lists if he keeps this up. The fact that he is doing this at 16 with these sort of EVs is crazy. He isn't just legging out groundballs or hitting bloopers in shallow LF.

For his sake, I hope the fact that he wasn't even a full-time pitcher until his second year at Air Force has preserved his arm to a degree. He doesn't have a ton of mileage on it and he's slowly ramped up the innings over time between college and the Majors.

Yep… he just drags the bat through the zone. He’s become switch hitting Ender Inciarte.
