Happy Thursday

June 18, 2025: Many of you, God's people, are trying to rush to get to whatever is next in your life. When you do that, you are missing the details and nuance of what is here and now. God would have you embrace where you are currently to see and understand the value of spiritual growth through experience. There are valuable lessons to learn in each and every day. Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Agree but I hate that we are even having this discussion. Just doesn’t feel right
It all depends on context, I don't know how this one started, I just caught the tail end of it....I don't like people indiscriminately bashing Tee, but I don't mind them just being honest about the truth of that team....it really was a rarity in this QB driven world...a TEAM win.

I hope Tony has been watching the CWS closely, he probably is. A coaching clinic in what not to do in certain situations is well underway. As it has been wtih mental errors by players who should know better. Which is also why our guys are sitting at home.

It's baseball, weird stuff happens regularly. Glad it happened to Arky - they deserve the smack down at their own hands. What a bunch of smug azzhats with a fanbase to match. Hate that LSU benefitted since they were equally goofy.

Our deficiencies have been highlighted as well. We did not have the defensive catcher who could handle staff on the roster at all. We did not have a developed first baseman. We had a great bat with a guy who tried hard and was just OK on D. For nearly half the season, the wrong half, we did not have a good second basemen or left fielder defensively on the field. Tony needs to get over his Bargo obsession. If he is coming back make the guy earn his way into playing time and sit him when he sucks.

Presumably, Tony has fixed the catcher problem with the portal. That guy looks legit. Hope we have some good starting pitching to throw to him. That need has been highlighted. The best teams have it.

Go Coastal.

Agreed, 100%. We actually have two catchers now, I think.

We rode our bikes everywhere. We also really liked jumping ramps.
We made a ramp at the school. The athletic fields were tiered and so we had the bright idea to jump the ramp down the drop off to the lower field. We could pick up speed down the sloped upper field and soar off the ramp. It was awesome as we would go well over 10 yards in the air.
Everything was great until my last jump. I hit pretty hard on the landing. My handlebars snapped off. I fell forward and wedged my chest between the remaining upright handlebars. Of course then wrecked. My chest remained wedged in the handlebars. My friends had to pull me and my bike apart.
When we looked at the remainder of my handlebars, they had snapped off they looked like knife blades. If I hadn’t hit just right, I would have been dead.
I truly believe that my guardian angel(s) saved me from my own stupidity. After I got new handlebars, I quit jumping ramps. 😎
I had one of those little Honda fat tire 50s my Granddad gave me for my 8th birthday and was running wide open on some trails in the forest behind our house when I hit a big root badly just as I was about to go between 2 6inch wide trees that were spaced about 3 feet apart with the trail going beteen them, me and my buddies liked going through them because the way the roots of those two trees intertwined it made a rough ramp that you could get a foot or two of air off if if you hit just right...welp, I hit them just wrong and it angled that fat tire write into one of the trees and I went superman flying into the tree while my bike went bouncing straight back...messed up my collarbone pretty bad and my handlebars were all screwed up so I had to walk it a half mile back to the house with my collarbone broke....ouchie...but my grandaddy fixed my bike and I was back being a idiot in a few weeks..lol

It would have been a viral video if there was such a thing back then..🤣

Fischer was great defensively at 1B.

I was super impressed with him defensively despite never really playing the position before
