RealID is silly. Just one more thing to lop onto an already overbearing Patriot Act. However, not sure I agree with you on the motive. Real ID only required to board commercial aircraft and some federal facilities. You don’t have to have one if you never intend or have reason to do either, so it doesn’t affect one’s ability to vote.
Why stop at Texas?@hog88 will sign off on all lawyers and the entire state of Texas. That should get us there. Sorry @NorthDallas40
Good grief, really? It doesnt impact ability to vote yet. I am speculating that's the preferred R end goal here....
My original comment was to give @theFallGuy the visual of having a Wanda Halbert run local office deciding who votes for POTUS if this preferred end goal happens..
I read that three people went to a site to do some work and had to open the gate to go in. When ICE tried to follow them in the three tried to close the gate. That indicates it wasn't a public area at least at that hour.We really don't know. From what I can gather, ICE doesn't need a warrant if it's in a public space. Workplaces/businesses are considered public spaces if they are open to the public, with minor caveats per them being over ~ 250 sq/ft. Unless we know the details of the workplace, we really just can't say.
With those we're up to, what 0.35% of the population? If we want to hit an appreciable percentage we'll have to include people who aren't clearly scum to everyone.
FFS EV what are you even chasing here? Read what I typed and pay special attention to the boldened. The original observation (which wasn't even mine) is that there is a percentage of the population that is simply the worst of us and we'd be better off without them. To argue otherwise is idiocy. As it's a philosophical observation it should have pretty much stopped there but, for some reason, despite the boldened caveat, you just keep running. I don't know what's in your head that you think you're making a worthwhile observation at this point but I've lost all interest. You realize that was a philosophical question, right? It's based on the observation that an enormous amount of what is bad about this country is concentrated in some fairly small percentage of the population. The vast majority of the hundreds of millions of people here are perfectly happy with the idea of everybody being perfectly happy and don't actually want to F with anybody or their lives. (10-15% was the arbitrary number being thrown out)
If we were literally discussing culling the herd then your observations would have merit.
Sorry if it didn't go exactly like you wanted. That happens sometimes. We'll get over it.FFS EV what are you even chasing here? Read what I typed and pay special attention to the boldened. Yeah God forbid they're is a requirement to provide proof that you actually have the right to vote on government.1. Do Rs want photo ID? Yes or No
2. Will Rs want a photo ID with same documentation requirements? Yes or No
3. Does REAL ID benefit them?
4. Will the Ds eventually weaponize clerk/issuing offices?
I have no idea for the real reason for Real ID. I don’t think it’s tracking because they can do that anyway. I’m wondering if it’s just the feds giving the states a little boost in revenue.1. Do Rs want photo ID? Yes or No

Agreed, we're all hoping in the future you can refrain from taking very simple observations that can be wholly accurate philosophically but practically impossible to implement in reality and then start running with it as though it was, in fact, an idea that was posited as something to actually be implemented. No biggie but kinda bewildering you'd take that angle and I'm not interested enough to try unpacking your motivations for doing so have a nice day.Sorry if it didn't go exactly like you wanted. I would feel better about it if it could be used in lieu of a passport to travel to Canada or the CaribbeanRealID is silly. Just one more thing to lop onto an already overbearing Patriot Act. Never witnessed that a single time, some places required a mask. But not a vaccine, I will never let the right forget that,EVEROne: I was talking about leftists around the country, not specific people on VN.
Two: Vaccination cards weren’t just about “travel privileges”. Many places required them just to enter a restaurant, gym, bar, or business. And in some states, it was required for continuing employment. Or don’t you remember those days? People were FIRED for not “showing their papers”. We will never let the left forget that, EVER
LOL ... you only remember things if it fits your lunatic beliefs & advances the left's agenda. You're a huge hypocrite & a big liar just like you like to call other posters here.Never witnessed that a single time, some places required a mask.
