I used to be a long-time committed chocolate cake fan (and even more flourless chocolate cake), but now I usually go for creme brûlée or sorbet. I don't know why and I don't really care. The phrase "yellow cake" reminded me of Oppenheimer.

I agree. I like your rankings too, but I'd bump strawberry down below Apple (particularly Dutch Apple) and Coconut Cream.

No Shoneys out here in AZ either.
