why? the state didn't exist for most of the last 2000+ years, including the first 170 years of this country's existence.
the state of Israel didn't exist until 1948.
your belief is not founded on actual history, or logic.
Do these people take the time to understand the actual history of the modern state of Israel? Who founded it, what their actual language is and how it came about, who funded them, how they double-crossed countries all over the world, and- best of all- how the region functioned before boatloads of their European settlers came in and upset the apple cart? Do they know anything about how Herzl said a nation is defined by "common enemy", in his case "anti-semitism", and not by shared culture and religion, and how Israel's literally- publicly and openly- funded its own opposition
since its foundation to keep support and power over the region? Do they not know this "Israel" was established by wealthy, frequently violent and nihilistic, and overwhelmingly secular Europeans? Do they not understand that there is literally
no record, through family tree or otherwise, of modern Israelis having some title or deed to the land?
Modern Israel is an artificial Disney Land for "Christians" (quotes very intentional) and Jews. The Martyr Made podcast lays out an excellent history of the nation state and the roots of conflict in the middle east which are
much more modern than the average low-IQ evangelical wants to believe.
Hard break-
Evangelical Christians wonder why their churches are dying when they keep putting that political state founded by those wealthy, frequently violent and nihilistic, and overwhelmingly secular Europeans above thousands of years of actual church preaching, scripture, and commentary and- worst of all- above
Jesus Christ. Centuries of Christians functioned without any concept of a "state of Israel" being necessary for
anything. These churches actually understood what the new covenant was and meant and that there was no "chosen people" beyond the church of Christ. This whole "Judeo-Christian" movement started with charismatic Darbyism, which itself began out of wacky black magic rituals and celtic paganism. FFS, the first targets of Israel in this most recent assault were overwhelmingly historic Christian churches and hospitals!
Walk into a church and they're just as likely to have a damn Israel flag as they are a cross (which a lot of charismatic places say is a type of idol worship). I quit going to the church I was attending when I was unironically told that a cross or image of Jesus are dangerously close to idols while the altar had an Israeli and Ukrainian flag on it. It's horrific, and any loving Christian would pray for any Jewish person to convert for salvation- not tell them they're all good and "chosen".
