that sullivan guy is a total jackarse... glad to see the CC coach defend the school staff
Florida might be looking for a new coach. Mediocre regular season the past two years, can’t even reach the regional final this year, and then he acts like this in the public eye. I don’t see this ending well for him.

Not sure if this was posted, but here is the incident involving O’Sullivan. Straight up berating these people.

The context I've gotten is that the start time on Sunday was pushed back 1 hour because of the Saturday night game going so late. I'm trying to think from O'Sullivan's perspective what would cause him to get irate enough to drop 46 F Bombs in a 30 second clip and I'm coming up with nothing other than he's just a narcissistic prick.

Someone on here said it beautifully about Corbin, but I'll include O'Sullivan in it as well. Corbin and O'Sullivan actually are what the media and other fan bases portray Vitello to be.

Should have sent dong pics to coeds.
Florida administration is ok with that.

💯

As a coach and competitor, you will play anytime anywhere. 1 hour is nothing in athletics. It really wasn’t a big deal and he had a very irrational crash out. He’s just feeling the heat of having a mediocre program and he knows his days are numbered. That may have been his last game coaching there.

I think he made some very questionable calls last year vs North Carolina also? Dude rode the coattails of Skenes and that squad from 2023. He isn’t that great of a coach. LSU should aim their sights higher.
I disagree with you there. Let me ask you a question… Have you ever questioned anything CTV has done this year? I know a lot of people here have. We may not always agree with what our coaches do, but there’s a damn good reason why they are the coaches. CJJ is easily a top 5 coach. Don’t forget he also took Arizona to the CWS finals as well.

I guess we will disagree then because I don’t view CJJ as a top 5 coach. With the tradition at LSU he should be doing a lot more. Literally Super Regional should be the bare minimum expectation for that program every single year. We can question certain things with Tony but he has never cost us a game with a late inning decision to my knowledge. Tony also has the most wins, best winning percentage and if I had to guess most (or tied for most) trips to Omaha post-Covid. So we can’t really question the man. CJJ is going to have to prove he can do it without Skenes before I give him any props 🤷‍♂️

Why? Skenes wasn’t the only pitcher on the 23 team! You do realize that LSU had 13 players drafted from the 23 team, right? Sure, Skenes was a generational talent, but it took more than just him to win. It’s like saying Joe Burrow was the only reason LSU won the NC in 19, while forgetting about the 38 players who were eventually drafted from that team who have made a combined 42 pro bowl appearances.

We certainly don’t have to agree, but I think your opinion is just, unintentionally, a little short sighted. CJJ is absolutely a top 5 coach.

Life is pretty easy as a Coach whenever you have pretty much an automatic win on the mound whenever Skenes went out there. You don’t even have to manage whenever he is pitching. Yeah Johnson did a jam up job that year 🤣

Skenes pitched basically once a week, and actually lost twice. And didn’t CJJ recruit Skenes as well, which is part of any good coaches job? But, LSU does not win the NC without Ty Floyd, Thatcher Hurd, Griffey Herring, Nate Auckenhausen, Riley Cooper, and a couple others on the mound. And, I’m pretty sure Skenes never swung a bat at LSU. And then you’re completely discounting players like Dylan Crews, Tre Morgan, Jared Jones, Jordan Thompson (although he had a crappy CWS), Jobert, Milazzo, Dugas, Beloso, and so many more.

Again, you’re just being a little short sighted, but of course we can agree to disagree. Oh, and didn’t LSU take 2 of 3 off the Vols this year? That’s always going to be a good win these days.

Ok so which team did Skenes face in Round 1 of the CWS? If he wasn’t pitching that game then we have an actual shot at beating LSU. With him pitching, zero chance. Pitched into the 8th inning only giving up 2 runs and 12 strikeouts. So yeah he played a pretty damn big part in y’all winning the title. And then he went another 8 inning vs Wake giving up zero runs and 9 strikeouts in that “if necessary” game to send you to the championship series. Whenever you win Game 1, your chances of winning the title increase dramatically.

I agree with that. But, didn’t LSU beat the Vols again, without Skenes on the mound? And didn’t LSU win the series against the Vols in 23, in which Skenes only pitched once? One player can make a huge difference, but they cannot win by themselves.

Dude he was winning entire games by HIMSELF all season. Had like a 1.69 ERA or something crazy like that. You need to stop fooling yourself dude 🤣
