I don't think that matters as much in soft ball because the pitches are underhanded and doesn't strain the rotator cuff like in baseball.

How so when it's about the future? You from the year 2040 and know how Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith's NFL careers turned out?

I'm talking about their pro potential not what happened last year.

That says more about how weak this current draft class was than anything else.

I'm old enough to remember when a freshman by the name of Mike Williams played at USC in the early 2000s and set the world on fire as a true freshman and never amounted to anything.

A great freshman year doesn't necessarily mean you're destined for NFL greatness.

That's a better time slot for us than a night game. When's the last time we won a big night game at home? However our last 2 wins over Alabama were at 3:30.

I personally love the 3:30 time slot. We tend to play better at that time than at night.

Good point. No rule is universal. Just because a player is faster doesn't mean he'll be better. I just like what I saw from Ryan Williams last year moreso than Jeremiah Smith. Williams play style looks like it'll translate better to the pros while Jeremiah Smith looks like the type of guy who peaks in college and never gets much better in the pros.
