President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

So you are saying that the American people will move to the LEFT? We will start favoring DEI, Drag Queen story hours, dudes in women’s dressing rooms, socialism, and rabid antisemitism?
Interesting theory.
The American people have moved to the left since there was an "American people".

If you are able to read, you know the bill does exactly that.

As for your money if you're wishing to kill off innocents, quit supporting runaway defense spending and make your contributions directly to the taliban. As for me I would try gaining good will thru food and health programs.BTW where do you think the give away grain is produced?
😂

The American people have moved to the left since there was an "American people".
But overall, they have moved markedly to the right since 1980 and the election of Reagan. The mid 70’s and Carter were the high water mark of the American left. Remember when Nixon founded the EPA and implemented price controls?

Why would drowning prevention programs reside in the CDC? Newsflash: Drowning is NOT a disease.
liberalism is though..see my thread topic..

Trump throws America's $44 Billion education business into chaos by Halting ALL Student Visas

The Trump Administration has ordered US embassies to halt all student visa applications as the president cracks down on America's higher education business.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has directed officials to stop scheduling appointments with student visa applicants as they prepare to implement a social media vetting process, according to a cable obtained by Politico.

'Effective immediately, in preparation for an expansion of required social media screening and vetting, consular sections should not add any additional student or exchange visitor (F, M, and J) visa appointment capacity until further guidance is issued septel, which we anticipate in the coming days,' the cable states.

Donald Trump has waged war on elite universities, accusing them of antisemitism and blasting their 'woke' ideology.

Trump’s spending bill to Slash Tax Breaks for sports team owners

The GOP spending bill that advanced through the House includes a proposal to slash tax breaks for sports team owners in half – which could slow deals by the ultra-rich to buy NBA and NFL teams.

Since 2004, owners of sports teams have been able to write off the entire value of intangible assets – like player contracts and sponsorships – over a period of 15 years.

These assets typically make up the bulk of a team’s value, accounting for hundreds of millions of dollars in deductibles for owners.

But President Trump’s massive 1,100-page tax bill, which the House approved last Thursday, would chop the amount owners could write off by half. The bill is now headed for the Senate.

Were they related?
His mother deemed her support enough to warrant asking for a pardon, and Trump seemed to agree.

What's extra hilarious about this, is that just a month ago the DOJ was touting imminent incarceration and restitution payments as a 'win for justice'.

Now with his pardon he doesn't even have to pay restitution for his crimes.

Hate the picking and choosing of winners. Either you allow amortization for all intangible assets or you allow it for none....

Especially since DJT claimed amortization expense for decades for some of his golf resorts...

It is long past time that we rid our political conversations about policy differences of the language of "war."

In a time where we are witnessing the horrors of war, with the resulting disease, starvation, and the deaths of thousands of innocents, including those combatants whose only choice is to die on the battlefield or to die because they are unwilling to go to the battlefield, we should not equate the struggle for life over death in conflict zones to our disagreements over public policy.

War is a terrible, terrible thing. It is so terrible that every reasonable alternative should be used before the decision to wage war is the only decision left. It is so terrible that the only way war should be waged is with overwhelming, horrific, repugnant use of force so that the worst consequences may be swift and conclusive, resulting (hopefully) in less total suffering than a protracted conflict would inflict..

Categorizing public policy decisions over such things as hiring criteria, university funding decisions, or debate over the extent or application of social safety net programs into the language of war cheapens the value of the human lives impacted by both combatants and civilian populations and desensitizes us to the actual real consequences of war; consequences that are decisive, irreversible, and final to those who bear the brunt of the brutality.

There are better arguments to be made. Yesterday was Memorial Day. For those who paused to remember those lost, why do we cheapen their sacrifice and our memory by co-opting the language of the battlefield to try to score political points regarding ever-shifting winds of popular policy?

*FP, though I have replied to your post, this is not directed at you. Your post just got me going because of the warfare language it included. I know it wasn't your original language.
