President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

That proves what, exactly? What an idiot. LOL.

It shows you ignoring the destructors of your attempted debate in favor of changing the conversation.

Again, to recap:

So, you're using a legal term to describe non-legal preferences that "should" not happen, without bothering to debate why they "should" not happen. lol That's your defense against the accusation that your schtick is stupid, lazy and unproductive? To reaffirm that it's stupid, lazy, and unproductive?

...

You make unsubstantiated accusations that are reliant on very personal incredulity. When your accusations are destroyed by facts--such as the actual definitions of the words you use, and the legislation that disprove the accusations, you resort to ignoring the points, moving the goalposts via equivocation, hand waving, and redirection. Then you continue to attempt to kick the ball at the original goal posts that you've tried to move.

It truly is awe-inspiring, the things you'll do and deserved abuse you'll endure to continue your hate-fueled points--all while accusing other of cultish persistence.

It's truly awesome. Freak should send you checks for driving traffic.

You are reaching. He was blindsided by Letterman about a product he allowed to use his name. He said he didn't know where they were made, and needed them made in America. He also said that the rules make companies want to manufacture products overseas. He felt that Mitt Romney would try to fix the situation.
You are the one reaching and it's ridiculous and pathetic. He said what he said. You are trying to spin it, because you can't defend the hypocritical nature of his demands of Apple, in conjunction with this quote (which he very clearly spoke). :

"Well, that's good. We employ people in Bangladesh. They have to work too."

-- Donald Trump, after being informed by David Letterman that products bearing the Trump brand, had been manufactured in Bangladesh and China, by a company that Trump had entered into a licensing agreement with.

It is posts such as the one up above, when you feel the need to gaslight and then can't even bring yourselves to acknowledge Donald Trump's brazenly obvious hypocrisy, when you reveal yourselves to be a Cult of Personality, which must defend your cult leader, Donald Trump, from anything and everything, even at the expense of your own integrity.

You have been absolutely pitiful and pathetic in this thread. There is a derangement syndrome which is evident on this forum on a daily basis, and put on display by posters such as @volbeast33 , who must unconditionally support and defend Donald Trump .... even when it makes you look like fools.

I predict that the posters who identify themselves as @volbeast33 and @Orange_Crush will not acknowledge that press release from Marco Rubio's campaign .... even though Marco Rubio is currently Donald Trump's Secretary of State.

Donald Trump is a hypocrite. PERIOD.
WTH are you talking about? I admitted that Trump is a hypocrite.

I also pointed out that your MO is to ignore salient defeaters to your arguments in favor of **** like this.

@Freak still says thanks.

My "main argument" was that Trump is a hypocrite. It's why I posted the video of his Letterman interview in the first place.

I also made a secondary argument that the President of the United States has no business threatening the CEO of a company with vindictive tariffs, if they don't give in to his demands to relocate their manufacturing jobs/ facilities to the United States. A company should have the right to manufacture their products where it is most advantageous for them financially and competitively. If Trump was a better negotiator, then he would incentivize such a move for Apple. Instead, he just wants to threaten, bully and intimidate his way into getting an American company to acquiesce to his demands.

That is poor leadership from a bull in a china shop clod, who will petulantly resort to threats and behavior consistent with authoritarian rule, when he can't immediately get what he wants.

Donald Trump is a weak man's idea of a strong man.
Donald Trump is a stupid man's idea of a smart man.
Donald Trump is a poor man's idea of a rich man.
Donald Trump is an immoral man's idea of an honest man.
Donald Trump is an Evangelical Republican's idea of a Christian.

So, you ignored responses about your "main" argument and associated "executive overreach" ignorance.

Well I guess that settles that.

You're accusing someone else of reaching while simultaneously defending Trump's actions on virtually every issue? It's an astonishing lack of self awareness
I absolutely hate his budget. I hate that he doesn't truly seem interested in decreasing our deficit. I am not for Tariffs although I respect it. I think America is a mess and this is a huge challenge for any president.

Great comeback. I explained that my comments concerning executive overreach were not meant to be interpreted in a legal sense.

Trump's vindictive tactics are a sign that he doesn't know how to provide Apple with enough incentive to relocate their manufacturing jobs/facilities without resorting to desperate threats and actions aimed to intimidate.

No worries. The next Democrat president will raise taxes and increase spending. At least Trump is only doing one of the two.

If you call providing incentives for businesses to relocate their manufacturing jobs/facilities to the United States? Then you are correct. If you are suggesting that it's standard operating procedure for American Presidents to be publicly threatening the CEO of an American company with a 25% tariff, if they don't relocate? Then you are very wrong, and way off-base here. Such threatening demands constitute executive overreach, and are a step towards authoritarian-style rule.
Incentives can be positive or negative. I hope I've been clear here already that I think Trump's going about all this in a very bad way. That doesn't change what I wrote today. I'm not suggesting what SOP is or should be. You're reading what's not written and what's not even implied.

And again... Speaking of ignoring responses. This excuse has been covered, and yet you've continued to kick the ball towards the original direction of the goalposts you tried to move.

As covered days ago, "executive overreach" has a specific meaning, and you abuse the hell out of it repeatedly after being corrected repeatedly.

So, you're using a legal term to describe non-legal preferences that "should" not happen, without bothering to debate why they "should" not happen. lol That's your defense against the accusation that your schtick is stupid, lazy and unproductive? To reaffirm that it's stupid, lazy, and unproductive?

And why would I ignore your posts? Do you have any idea what a beta move it is to publicly ask someone to stop correcting your schtick? It's like a dog rolling over on its back and exposing its belly.

Just do better. That's the response.

And you still refuse to tell us why we should share your personal "should" beliefs. It's a lazy shortcut in debate.

You claimed that Trump has no "right" (executive overreach and abuse of power) to issue tariffs against foreign-made products for domestic companies. Legislation was referenced to disprove this.

You claim that Trump is a bad leader because domestic companies have a "right" to produce their products wherever it is most "financially" advantageous. Well, as has been shown, tRrump has the "right" to partially define how financially advantageous it is, as well as communicate those facts.

So, Apple has the rights to their decisions and actions. Trump has his right to his decisions and actions. You're claiming Trump is a bad leader for taking advantage of his entire toolset. And you haven't defined why Apple exercising their right is better and more acceptable than the US President exercising his (after mistakenly stating he didn't have that right, btw).

I'm excited for you to hoe that row of "should" assumptions that you somehow expected us to accept without question.

He was trying to be the Republican nominee. I would use his licensing agreements against him as well. No different than Kamala calling Biden a racist.

Wrong. I never said that he didn't have the legal right ... to the contrary, I said that he could impose those tariffs.

Because that is the norm, when dealing with American companies. If he wants them to manufacture their products in the United States, then our government should provide positive incentives for Apple to do so. Trump has instead gone to the lengths of publicly threatening their CEO with vindictive tariffs.

Now, you are just lying. I plainly said that Trump could apply his stupid tariffs, and that is how I even said it too.

Finally, this is also where Trump's hypocrisy is highly relevant. Trump made it clear on Letterman's show that he doesn't see anything wrong with a company outsourcing their manufacturing overseas. That makes Trump more than just a hypocrite now. It makes him a dishonest broker.

Do you people have an aversion to the truth? I get tired of this crap.

Not only did Kamala Harris not call Joe Biden a racist during the 2019 Democratic Party Primary debate that you are obviously referencing, she even took the extra step of saying, "I don't think you're a racist," or something very close to that. If you disagree with me on that, I will post a link to it. I have done that before, and you are dead wrong. I really don't even care anything about it .... but it amazes me how you think you can get away with lying. Do you think you are Trump or something? LOL.

Exercising tariffs for products made overseas is a presidential abuse of power and authoritarian?

This is similar to the lazy overuse of the term "Nazi". You make it meaningless with mis-application.

Picking and choosing certain companies within an industry but excluding others....

Lol. “First I don’t think Joe is a racist. He just says racist things, hangs out with racists, supports racists, etc. But I’m not saying he is racist. I say that today as I’m choosing to be a black person at this moment.”

And "norm" is not a definer of "ought". Go back and use that logic in the 60s.
