I love this win and today's game because it was close, there were extra innings, we won and I think this type of win will change how the team thinks about itself as well as how others perceive us.

What a great win!
To a lot of folks baseball is slow and boring. As you learn the game, and learn the games inside the game you will fall in love with it.

I got to learn the game through my son. He played catcher and taught me the gamesmanship that goes into every situation. As I learned their signs, I began to really see the game for what it was.

Ironically one of his favorite coaches was Cade Johnson that played catcher for Texas and Augie Garrido and later played in the MLB. A lot of people didn’t like Cade, but his teams were tough and smart.

As an infielder period (doesn’t matter what position), if I see two other infielders running over to be cutoff man and backup cutoff, why the hell would I run over and be a backup to the backup instead of covering what is becoming an occupied base? I remember a play in high school where the third baseman was cutoff on a hit to LF but SS was in La La Land so I had to bust my ass to third base from first base to cover the bag so the runner on 2B couldn’t advance. Sometimes stuff happens but first base is essentially air traffic control. You literally see the entire play in front of you. It’s not that hard.
Well you were obviously an All American who never made an error or mental mistake. Unfortunately these guys are mere mortals and not super stars like you...
