Thought this may be a hoax at first, but have seen it reported multiple places that one passenger survived by jumping from the plane

I saw earlier that all 244 ppl were killed. Maybe he landed in the bushes?
I'm not sure how one could jump out when strapped in & all doors are closed air tight.

How long before actual impact would he have had to have jumped (and therefore, from what altitude) to remain clear of the heat from that fireball???

Think the initial report was that everyone was presumed dead, and i have no idea how someone could survivor, but that’s what’s being reported

In the first photo w/Marilyn Monroe is George Sanders. Later on, in the 1967 animated Disney picture The Jungle Book, they used his voice for the character of Shere Kahn (Tiger). I always found his voice in that movie as unique and fascinating. I've watched the movie 100x I bet.

I'm a big fan of George Sanders. I can't imagine there's ever been an actor whose bio is as interesting and unusual as his!

Born in Russia... illegitimate grandson of a Tsar... very intelligent... well-educated... ran a tobacco plantation in S. America... worked for a British advertising agency... all before 40 years as a widely respected actor.

An amazing person that George Sanders was. I loved his voice as the Bengal Tiger in Jungle Book. Where he was having conversations w/Kaa the python at the bottom of the tree.

Call me cynical, but...

My personal rules about "Breaking News" stories (having been in a few and comparing the reality to the coverage) is to wait 24 hours before even reading about what happened -- 48 hours if there's video of the actual event. (Video merely encourages more confident speculation.)

If there isn't a logical and evidence supported explanation for a tragedy cited within12 hours, figure to wait 2 months for the actual cause. If it happens outside the US, wait 6 months. If it happens in a country that the US is fighting over/negotiating with... the eventual official explanation will be an agreed upon lie.

But whatever, the first 20 hours of coverage will be 98% speculation, and the culling of "facts" reported earlier.

Back when news was gathered and reported by newspaper, those stories really were history's first draft. But with 24-hour news channels ("23-hour speculation channels" my wife called them) breaking news is mostly a race for face time... an "American Idol" competition for aspiring newsies.

How do you manage to jump from a that plane in time and how do you survive the fall? Not sure I buy the jumping claim. Survivor possibly but jumping? Can't see it.
