What are the negative results? Why spend the time and money to create new trade deals with countries for whom we already had a better trade deal. Many of our most important allies. How much have we spent trying to bully Canada. Holy ****, they might might be our most important geopolitical ally of all. The negative discourse created between us because of a threat to take them over, making them the 51st state has created less than stable relations between that important ally .
