That's racist!

If you want to call both mulatto or both black feel free. I wasn't trying to make any absolute with those terms. Just using them in those contexts seemed appropriate. Most people consider Obama the first black president so I said it in the manner most use it. And in the post about Kaepernick I was trying to compare his phenotype with that of the North African soccer player.
As I said weeks ago and today, you see color when it’s convenient. Your rules and post, not mine.

I do know quite a few North Africans, mainly from work. The Berbers (Barbary) are fairly pale and the Arabs are a little darker. The US Census Bureau says they're white. I'd go along with that. They're more white than black.

And I know some Morrocans and Egyptians who look like light skin black people. That's the nature of a mixed population. You'll see some that look more like their white side and some that look more like their black side. With that said, the African ancestry in their DNA is indisputable. Genetic history of North Africa - Wikipedia

According to the most recent and thorough study on Berber mtDNA from Coudray et al. 2008, which analysed 614 individuals from 10 different regions (Morocco (Asni, Bouhria, Figuig, Souss), Algeria (Mozabites), Tunisia (Chenini-Douiret, Sened, Matmata, Jerba) and Egypt (Siwa)),[51] the results may be summarized as follows:

  • Total West Eurasian lineages (H, HV, R0, J, M, T, U, K, N1, N2, X): 80 per cent
  • Total African lineages (L0, L1, L2, L3, L4, L5): 20 per cent
The Berber mitochondrial pool is characterized by an overall high frequency of Western Eurasian haplogroups, a markedly lower frequency of sub-Saharan L lineages, and a significant (but differential) presence of North African haplogroups U6 and M1.

That's just the mitochondrial DNA which is passed from mother to daughter. In terms of Y-DNA (passed from father to son) the most common Y-DNA haplogroup is E (which is most common in Sub-Saharan Africa).

E-M81 reaches an average frequency of 40% across the region. J-M267 is the second most-frequent haplogroup, accounting for around 30% of North Africans and assumed to have spread out of the Arabian Peninsula or Levant into North Africa.

So that means 40% of North African Y-DNA is African and 20% of their mtDNA is African. That averages out to roughly 30% of their genetic ancestry being African and 70% being Eurasian. Which when you look at them makes sense. It's why they tend to look mostly white but have a few quirky features that makes them look different from Europeans. The afro textured hair being the most obvious example.

Take Marouane Fellaini (the Belgium soccer player of Morrocan ancestry). When his hair is cut short he looks like this:

You would probably think he's just another white guy from Italy or Spain. But when he and many Morrocan men grow their hair out they tend to look like this:

1747583204948.jpeg

That's him and his twin brother by the way. Now they suddenly look like two light skin black guys. That's how 30% African DNA works. The individual looks mostly white but will have some black features that are not common in people who are 90+% white.

Shouldn’t everyone have African ancestry in their DNA?

Shouldn’t everyone have African ancestry in their DNA?

This is recent African ancestry not DNA from the original out of Africa migration. The haplogroups in question arose in the last 20-30,000 years while the out of Africa migration was at least 60,000 years ago. And maybe as old as 90,000 years ago.

So while we all have African DNA if you go back 60,000 years these markers being tested are of mutations that happened more recently (last 20,000 years or so). That's why some are coded as African and others Eurasian. It means they arose in more recent times when you had human populations in regions outside of Africa compared to 60,000+ years ago when we were all in Africa.

Who determines the rules on how far we’re allowed to go back to determine victimhood or claim “ancestry”?

Good question. A lot of these DNA studies are kinda useless for the reason you stated. We have no idea when the phenotypic traits we associate with certain races even arose. So just because some mutations happened in Western Asia 20,000 years ago doesn't mean the humans at that time looked different from their African neighbors as they do today.

I personally just look at these DNA studies as helpful guesses. If a study says North Africans are 30% African and 70% Eurasian then just use some common sense. Look at people we know who have 3 white grandparents and 1 black grandparent and compare how they look to how the average North African looks. If the phenotypes match then the genetic admixture estimate is probably right. If not then it's bs.

All I know is usually when someone whose only part black has a kid with someone who is fully white, the kid comes out looking like Andrew Tate. Mostly white with a hint of blackness. That's sorta what you get with most North Africans. They look mostly white but when they grow their hair out you see that hint of blackness in their curly afros.

“I felt like the temperature of the world around me at the time was ‘We are all liberal so we can say the N-word’ — ‘We aren’t racist, so we can say this derogatory stuff,'” Silverman told Rolling Stone, reflecting on her 2005 special, Jesus Is Magic.

“I’ll tell you why we make fun of midgets: we’re not afraid of them,” the School of Rock star said during the 2005 special, adding, “That’s what it boils down to, you know? I mean, I had a joke with the N word in it that I thought was so edgy and hip.”

“I was at this one club doing my show, and I looked in the front row and the whole table is black people or African American people, and I didn’t do it because I was afraid of them,” Silverman added in her comedy performance. Then, following a brief pause, Silverman said, “And I ended up changing that joke to chinks, so, you live and you learn.”

I've heard the recent buzzword floating around lately, black fatigue.

When I was looking up the meaning, I saw that it has several that are attached to it. The first one, from AI, defining it as exhaustion among the black population from persistent exposure to racism, discrimination, etc. A weariness stemming from microaggressions against them and the weight of historical and systemic oppression.

The second one, is from those that are not immersed within the black community and culture. Referencing how they have become weary of a toxic culture within said community and the behavior that stems from it, mostly in public settings. Even some within black community have voiced their opinions on YT about this recent term. Some have been aligned with the first definition, others with the second one.

Which one is the most accurate? Both?

I have a bad case of white fatigue. I am tired of all this white privilege. 30 plus years of getting up early 6 days a week and working my butt off...while about a third of what I earn is taken from my paychecks against my will and given to those who won't work, don't have white privilege like me, or wasted /embezzled by government. Then another 15% or so of what I earn is taken through sales tax, property taxes, government fees, fines, etc. It all adds up to about half of what I have worked hard for every year being taken from me and given to others through income redistribution, other Socialist programs I never voted for nor enrolled in, or pyramid schemes like Social Security which I have paid into my entire life but will almost certainly never draw a dime from.

I am tired of all this bullcrap white privilege. I have White Fatigue. Its my turn to be a protected class, that is handed free food, housing, a check every month, ATM card in Red White and blue etc. Like we treat these illegal aliens in Democrat run states. I quit. From now on, I identify as one of the 50% of this country that are net "takers" instead of "makers" like I have been my whole life. Should get a fat check every year at tax time too...despite not paying a penny into the system. Lets do this!! Adios, self respect and hard work.

The conservatives using it are talking about the latter, where they are "tired of black people" despite appropriating their culture at every turn. It's as racist as it gets

All this "self respect and hard work" yet nothing but whining and punching down, just because you have to pay taxes like nearly everyone else. If you're going to view it as a zero-sum game then be mad at the billionaires thirsting for EVEN MORE money through tax breaks rather than the average person on welfare

I haven't seen or read anywhere that states what you have said. It's not about being "tired of black people" at all. Unfortunately, the bad apples in every culture seem to get the most publicity and I believe, that's what is being referred to here. Those that believe they're entitled to everything and ashamed of nothing behavior.

They are not calling it bad apple fatigue or entitlement fatigue, but black fatigue. Couldn't be much more explicitly racist if they tried

What do you call those within the black community, that are agreeing with the second definition?

The headline is somewhat misleading. The only aspects addressed regarding discrimination against whites and asians etc is regarding admissions to universities. I know some here disregard automatically anything involving Tucker, but that can lead to ignorance because some of his guests are great and enlightening.

The bulk of this interview is about Leftist DOJ enforcing "consent decrees" on cities all over the country. Under Obama, Biden etc the DOJ has been forcing cities to NOT enforce laws they see as "racist" , not police their communities to avoid arresting "too many minorities" , NOT break up homeless encampments destroying downtown areas, NOT stop riots or mobs of people from destroying things. I thought that the destruction of Democrat lead cities was entirely due to local leadership. I was wrong. Woke local leadership is definitely a BIG part of the problem...but when the Leftists control the DOJ the feds are a BIG part of the problem as well.

She speaks at length about how Leftist career DOJ lawyers in the Civil Rights division have conspired with local Wokes to destroy these cities. Crime rates increasing ~60% once these cities and their police departments are under federal consent decree programs. She talks about Memphis around 43:30 for what it's worth. Very interesting interview IMO. Her predecessor's motto was "Defund the police". Think about that for a second.

Black people with black fatigue? Black people who are going up to white folks to complain about how they're tired of black people? Aside from being about the most direct line to self-hatred possible, I'm sure they are conservatives' absolute favorite people just like Sheriff David Clarke and whoever else

The concern they have towards others, that seem to attract all the publicity and headlines.

How can it be self hatred? Just because they have voiced their opinions about the inappropriate behavior of others and their own desire for it to stop or at the least, toned down. If someone within their own race says anything, it's self hatred. If someone outside their race says anything, it's racist.

Quite the contradiction there.

If by "saying anything" you mean "saying 'I'm tired of Black people/culture,'" then unironically yes. That is not even remotely a contradiction, it's negative attitudes toward Black people from two different angles

When I point out shameful stuff from American history, nobody tells me I'm being racist against my own people. They tell me I have white guilt, which is pretty similar to the concept of self hatred.

Anything as in related to the bad behavior and antics on display at certain times.

It's also a double standard.
