A standard parade should be sufficient. That's not what this is and you know it. It's pure self-indulgence on the part of a President who harbors affection for such grandiose authoritarian displays, normally done by the likes of China, North Korea and Russia as shows of military might. You would defend that clod for anything. How dare the greatest country on the planet celebrate it's 250th anniversary.
Maybe he is just wasting money in ways that are not consistent with American traditions? Maybe Trump turns his cabinet meetings into circle jerks for much of the same reason : He harbors affection for how things are done under authoritarian rule. He is also an egomaniac who loves making an unnecessary spectacle of himself, constantly placing himself at the center of any and all attention.

Too late. It’s clear Zerohedge was doing their usual BS of the story not matching the headline."some prices"

Walmart says it will hike some prices due to tariffs. Here's what that means for shoppers
Bananas, roses and toys are some of the items hit by tariffs and price hikes could come as soon as late May, according to the retailer.www.nbcchicago.com
I can feed my children fortunately, but the need is real, and many great people dedicate time, money, blood, sweat, and tears to ensure everyone can eat, thank god for those people.I can only speak for East TN, but the only hungry children are those of negligent parents (due to drugs, alcohol , or mental illness). Besides the numerous government programs to provide food, our local churches and food bank are always there to help distribute food to the needy. If you have a child you are not able to feed, dm me and I will find you the right organization and will personally buy you food until the supply process is established. It’s a big country so there may be other areas where it’s different.
And I'm okay with that...A standard parade should be sufficient. That's not what this is and you know it. All child hunger stems from drug addiction? Is that where you’ve been trying to steer us this whole time? Ok, I’ll let you explain that to me, and how employment, low wages/high prices, unavailability of healthy food, lack of affordable housing, etc. play no role. It’s not about where I want to go. It’s about what you said. Since then you’ve continually attempted to move the goalposts numerous times. As far as the rest of this “data” you’re attempting to provide, it’s absolute trash.
We don’t have an issue with child hunger. We have an issue with drug addiction and resulting child neglect. But not child hunger.
No amount of money can solve junky parents neglecting their children
And I'm okay with that...
It's not like this is the first military parade the country had ever had.
I'll never understand why you liberals don't like to celebrate how freaking bad ass our country is. A couple of weeks ago I heard the unmistakable sound of a Chinook coming went out on the porch and it was a C130 refueling two Chinooks. I'm 45yo I ran out in the yard like I was a kid it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen in person. Our military should be celebrated.
