Bravo!My honest opinion:
MJ is by far away the Goat.
There are about ten others that can fill in right behind him in that conversation. I couldn't stand Bird but I would put him tn that class. He did things that were unbelievable.
It is hard to tell about the players in today's times due to the rule changes. Even marginally good players are scoring a lot of points.
@Carp needs to go to the FF and hone his debate skills. He's taken more Ls today than @Jackcrevol takes in a week.I am not saying MJ was not a great player, he is among the greats. It can not be denied that he played in a era that favored his game. If you can't admit that the NBA tipped the scales to Jordan then your blind or maybe you can't accept it because it doesn't fit your narrative.
And as far as scoring in the paint, his famous logo is not of him taking a jump shot.
Which one of these is in the discussion of greatest of all time? The Pistons won because of style of play, not that they were better players. Pistons simply beat the Pisston out of the Bulls. They changed the rules and put that style of play out of business and made the NBA a dunkfest.Let's stop pretending that Isiah, Lambeer, & Dumars were the Washington Generals.
DF also that Jordan semi retired.
I would like an exhaustive list of all the people who have ever said that Jordan was the greatest. That would be nice. His famous logo was from a photo shoot. Jordan was Jordan because of his scoring ability and his ability to win in the playoffs.
And again, WTF does it matter that the NBA changed the rules to allow for more dunks? MJ was an elite scorer and an MVP before the rule change. His game wasn't built around driving the lane. I'm sorry you can't admit that.
Would like me to quote ALL the players from MJ's era that agree he is the GOAT? You know the guys he actually played against?
Taken L's like NBA players saying he's the GOAT and you out here posting random internet articles@Carp needs to go to the FF and hone his debate skills. He's taken more Ls today than @Jackcrevol takes in a week.![]()
Still not following. Are you trying to say I've not watched football since the 90s?
"Barry Sanders is the greatest football player I've seen in my lifetime" was the post you responded to, remember??? (It was actually a gif of Barry Sanders)
I'm sure you thought this was a gotcha moment and didn't think I had the receipts. Don't worry I got you:I would like an exhaustive list of all the people who have ever said that Jordan was the greatest. That would be nice.
Scottie said that Michael couldn't win without him and that Magic Johnson was the GOAT!His famous logo was from a photo shoot. Jordan was Jordan because of his scoring ability and his ability to win in the playoffs.

It was a joke my guy.The RB debate is hilarious.
I love Emmitt Smith and he was great as a Cowboy but if Barry Sanders hadn't have retired 5 years before he should've he would've rushed for at least 23,000 yards without a injury stopping him. Barry was that good.
Christian McCaffrey is no where near the Barry, Emmitt, Eric Dickersons, Walter Payton's of the World... Good grief.
