While I grew up in far East TN, I'm afraid I did not venture out into VA and NC very much when younger even though they were each 15 minutes away. I learned at a very young age that Virginians can't drive worth a crap and there is just something "off" about NC lol.

Also, if they met on a flight: he doesn't look like he flies anything but first class and without him she was surely flying coach.

Well, she's still riding coach, I guess.

Sources: Hudson has not Been Banned From UNC Facilities

Contrary to published reports citing a podcast hosted by former ESPN contributor Pablo Torre, North Carolina has not banned Jordon Hudson from the Kenan Football Center, multiple sources very close to the situation confirmed Friday morning to Tar Heel Illustrated.

The report suggested “two sources” told Torre Hudson, who is head coach Bill Belichick’s personal and professional companion, has been banned from the facility. The insinuation is this was a response to the negative national attention Belichick and the UNC program received from the fallout of an interview he did with CBS News.

I don't think it is the romantic relationship people are questioning at this point. You're right, the age difference is interesting but it is their life. I think it is more the fact that his girlfriend is a seemingly constant presence at practice, during an interview with CBS, etc. There is curiosity about what, if any, her role with the football program is. Which is a legitimate and professional question, IMO.

If Josh Heupel's wife was always around him while on the job (at practice, at interviews, etc.), it wouldn't get as much attention because Heupel is not Bill Belichick and there isn't a 50-year-age difference, but there would be legitimate intrigue about what role she's playing with the football program.

While I fully agree with you -I question how much of the hubbub is just because of the age difference.

I suppose I mean that perhaps things are being "played up" just a bit for clicks. In the year 2025, I trust has station sushi about as much as I trust "journalist"

Just as an example-say Heupel forgets his lunch or whatever one day and his wife brings it to him while she is out running errands. She drops it off at practice and talks to Heupel by the side for 5-10 minutes. Do you really think that is going to be the subject of ESPN articles, etc. Nope, you're never gonna even hear about it-because it's just not that interesting lol. Now add a 50 year age difference and.....


Is the date that BB can just walk away with a $1 million payout just like 3 weeks away (June 1)? At this point I think the man makes the payment and walks away from UNC without ever coaching a game there. The entire situation at UNC just seems to have turned toxic.

Maybe Jordon can make a great chip dip. Maybe some sort of lobster dip to pay homage to her home state of Maine? It would really endear her to the UNC football family.

No, but there's been a lot more than that with BB and Jordon. Obviously there are eyeballs on the two of them to begin with 1) because BB is who he is and 2) the age difference.

However, if Heupel's wife was around him all the time on campus, showed up at practices, sat in during a big interview and cut off lines of questioning, etc., it wouldn't be the circus that BB and Jordon are, because JH is not BB and his wife isn't 50 years younger than him. But there would definitely be questions from interested parties (mostly Tennessee fans and media) as to what exactly she was doing and what her role, if any, with the team was. And those would be legitimate questions. At this point I don't think people are questioning the relationship, although the relationship is interesting.

Half listened to some info on 104.5 in Nashville. It was stated that her reasoning for nixing the how they met question was that she is shopping around a reality TV deal about her/them.

That nixing the hard knocks UNC deal was in a large part due to her influence involvement etc. long time assistants claim she is the worst person to deal with.

Separately from 104.5 I've heard the following from a North Carolina basketball friend of mine the following:

Family and professional friends are concerned as she has her claws in him and he seems content to let her undo everything he's built professionally. North Carolina brass and donors are regretting this contract apparently.

Oh I agree.

Don't mistake my posts for supporting the situation in any way.

I'm just saying that the entire thing has been blown up because it's BB and there is a 50 year age difference. As is I believe I said somewhere in this topic yeah-that's funny for about 5 mins but eventually you just have to let people live their lives.

In the end, BB was with the same-age appropriate gf for what, a decade? Barely a peep. That ends and he does what many wealthy elderly men do, find themselves a nice pretty young thing. BB is not the first guy to do this lol

The criticisms of her being too involved, etc-yes that is valid. I just question how much of the criticisms are because of the age difference though. Knowhutimean?

I still stand by my thoughts that BB never coaches an actual game at UNC.
