Belichick to UNC

Apparently they brought in someone to do damage control. I forget who it was . It’s mind blowing that the one time most powerful coach In All of Sports can’t get out of his own way coaching a mid level Power 4 school.

Former PR guy with the bears.

This is a train wreck that has the same end game we all thought it would. A play to get his son another job. I could argue that he won’t coach a game and if he does he won’t coach a full season.

They're now reportedly engaged. 🙄
I hope they have a Knot page, maybe I could get them a little something to help them get started. There’s a Crate and Barrel at Southpoint, I’m sure she’ll get some stuff there.

Its amazing that those originally supporting this hire to begin with are now abandoning ship. What a comedy all the way around.

If he's not the guy,get on the ball and hire someone ASAP.

I think the only way BB survives more than one year there is if they just have a really, really good season (like 9-10+ wins). Anything less than that just isn't worth it, because the whole thing is a huge circus. He might even leave on his own after the season.

They don't exactly have the easiest schedule in the world. Opener against TCU, at UCF with Scott Frost back at the helm, Clemson, at Cal, at Cuse, Duke, at NC State.

I will be curious to see about Frost. Seems like he has been trying to coast for a while off of that one 13-0 season.

he got fired from his alma mater, that he allegedly didn't want to go work for, then bad mouthed them at his new job. I would think there is some drama/trauma there.

Maybe this is a hindsight 20/20 thing, but when you go back and look at him postgame after his last game at UCF, that's a guy who didn't really want to leave. Those aren't bittersweet tears...that's telling your 3-year old that he has to leave the playground and he doesn't want to. If you go back and watch the presser where he was introduced, he doesn't exactly look thrilled to be there either. He sits there pretty stoically, doesn't smile much.

I think he was under immense pressure in Lincoln, not just from the admin/boosters/fans but from himself, and took the job purely because he didn't want to jilt his alma mater. I don't think he wanted any part of that job. I've seen some folks on the internet say that he's just bad mouthing Nebraska because it didn't work out there, and I suppose that could be true, but personally I think he's being honest.
