2025 NBA Season Thread aka Draymond's Annual Wealth Destruction Tour

That 4th quarter version of Draymond last night was the best version of Draymond. He needs to be sitting on a tech so that he reins it in a little bit. He was a maniac in all the right ways.

Anyone else watched or watching the Celtics City documentary on HBO? It's Great and I'm not a Celtic fan.

How much Bill Simmons do you listen to? ; )

I haven't watched it, probably because I get enough Celtics coverage from The Ringer.

I don't listen to him. He's in this documentary some with his dad.

Its a great NBA history lesson. I forgot how Boston got Parish and Mchale. One of the most lopsided trades ever.

I'm getting ready to watch the Len Bias episode 😔

Warriors defensive rating with Draymond in the game: 94

Without him: 162

It's so funny how the NBA's TV ratings are covered. If you hear a lot about them, it's because they're down. In googling what the playoff ratings were, I found out opening weekend was the most viewed in 25 years. How come I had to seek that out when bad ratings are always presented to me by the algorithm or ESPN, etc.?

The other funny thing is a Yahoo article prominent on Google had a title saying NBA ratings "continue to slide in 2024-25" when it was only a 2% dip, which is smaller than the cable-cutting dip. And the last 4 months, ratings have been up significantly vs. last year. The NBA season tipped off opposite a Yankees/Dodgers WS and a presidential election, and the country acted like the ratings meant something.

I hate the Celtics with a passion but the Ken Bias story was heartbreaking. A guy that had such a great future in the game and passed away . Individuals tend to forget that Reggie Lewis passed away about 6 or 7 years later from a heart condition. Pretty tough 10 years for Celtics ...

BTW if anyone wants to watch a heart wrenching story about a basketball player. The Benji Wilson story is the one to watch, the high school kid that was the next big thing ...

Didn't I see the NBA opening playoff weekend was the best ratings they've had in 15 years or something?

@n_huffhines I need Russillo to lay off the NFL draft. I know he gives Simmons the Sunday nights and does his intro with the previous night playoffs, but I need more NBA playoffs talk damn it!

It's inconceivable how thoroughly the Pacers have owned the Bucks for the past two seasons.

DeAndre Jordan is the worst rotation player in the playoffs and IT IS NOT CLOSE

Is he even a rotation guy? Not even 5 mpg

Mike Conley is a small 37 YO guard who plays like he's 37 and he's averaging 5 and 2 in 23 mpg shooting 38% from the field and 27% from 3p.

I thought you and Brown were doing better, why you gotta do this

Schroder probably gets the ball anyways but what is Brunson doing here down 3?

I really feel like the best moment that went unnoticed was the Brunson steal on the inbounds that ended up in the air. KAT is bigger than Tobias Harris, and he was initially in a better position, and Toby just beat him to the ball. That was the game right there.

It’s amazing how good of a shooter Reggie Miller was considering how ****ing blind he seems to be being an analyst
