Not by much. Best thing they could have done was push out Biden. Now the gop should have the guts to do the sameBeats having a costume bunny escorting you around so you don’t get asked tough questions. Or pushed out by your own party.
I am just trying to explore the history of EOs alongside current grievances and what can be done to reduce ability of presidents to govern via EO.
We don't like the current arrangement or the current mechanism for combating bad EOs.
The 14th Amendment really is crystal clear on birthright citizenship. That's not a hill anyone should want to die on. The Trump Administration knows their case is a loser. They just want to show their base that they at least tried to end "anchor babies." It's political theater. And precedents set have been wrong and changed correct.?
Your question was how are Americans smarter. If you dont like the example ask better questions. You didn’t disagree either. Example of commanding leap would be the difference in calling a lid early vs. sit down interview with MSM like Trump just did.Not by much. Best thing they could have done was push out Biden. You're seriously having a difficult time showing where Trump is a commanding mental leap from Biden. That doesn't tell you anything?
Voting for Trump doesn't indicate intelligence. It shows the voters are still stupidYour question was how are Americans smarter. If you dont like the example ask better questions. That is exactly the argument that gun ban advocates make when trying to infringe on the 2nd Amendment. The Constitution is a "living, breathing" document as they say ..... but how Constitutional Amendments are written doesn't change to the times. The Constitution can obviously be amended but not with an executive order. The USC is a living document and open to interpretation to the times.
exactly why I said it..tell that to the DemsThat is exactly the argument that gun ban advocates make when trying to infringe on the 2nd Amendment. Hold on now..the 1A and 2A are challenged constantly on interpretation and the evolution of guns..remember the military and only muskets arguments set by the DNC...the 14th could be interpreted differently now due the influx of illegal immigration or invasion. The 14th Amendment really is crystal clear on birthright citizenship. So you agree that the 1A and 2A should be constantly challenged or do you think there is room for interpretation in the 14th that isn't present in those two?Hold on now..the 1A and 2A are challenged constantly on interpretation and the evolution of guns..remember the military and only muskets arguments set by the DNC...the 14th could be interpreted differently now due the influx of illegal immigration or invasion.
Welp. Unfortunately we have another issue that sux but doesn't have any palatable solution. Board members get to bitch and moan, gnash their teeth and be tribal. Maybe that's enough. Maybe having a place to vent and fight when one is powerless is beneficial. The second best option that requires no new legislation or constitutional changes is for congress to actually do their jobs.
Not a great analogy.Hold on now..the 1A and 2A are challenged constantly on interpretation and the evolution of guns..remember the military and only muskets arguments set by the DNC...the 14th could be interpreted differently now due the influx of illegal immigration or invasion.
No an EO won't change it but it'll get to SCOTUS to either reinforce it or change it...just like the 2A arguments. Not a great analogy.
Democrats do have an extensive history of making lame arguments over why the 2nd Amendment should be interpreted differently now vs 100 years ago .... they never go anywhere.
Republicans can make lame arguments over the 14th Amendment and waste their time like Democrats if they want to. The 14th Amendment says what it says. An executive order won't change it.
I believe it's different....because the immigration back then was completely different and not an invasion and coming off a war....as opposed to a gun still doing the same thing a gun always has.So you agree that the 1A and 2A should be constantly challenged or do you think there is room for interpretation in the 14th that isn't present in those two?
Hold on.Donald Trump has signed just 5 bills into law so far. They were :
The Laken Riley Act
A stopgap funding bill
3 Congressional Review Act Resolutions which overturned Biden-era rules
That is the fewest number of bills signed into law in a President's first 100 days in office breaking George W. Bush's previous record low of 7. Congress might as well just go home. They aren't going to do $hit. Basically, we are a dictatorship now. What's the point of having a legislative branch? They're just bumps on a log.
