Massamba Abram and either Chaikin or Passmore (depending on whether they want young offense or young defense) is an A+ close; we would be really deep.

I would rate it a B, for now… We missed out on some big names but Barnes recovered nicely, considering the circumstances. It certainly has the potential to be an A+ close, if everyone pans out. Definitely a lot of bang for the buck, that’s for sure.

Took yesterday off and see I missed a ton. Didn’t love Abrams at first, but after digging in to his numbers and some film, I think I like where we’d be with him and Massamba. They’d be a very long and athletic 1-2 punch at guard.

I am interested to find out if there’s any validity to the Passmore rumors, along with the other 2 guys that sound almost done.

Easily an A... we got pretty much the best fit for PG , we got the best available SF, we got a guy down low that hurt us both games & we lost No One. Easily an A no matter who else we get

I have a very German name and have gotten a fair amount of Sieg Heils from jokesters. Given the amount of times it has happened, it’s not original, and it isn’t funny. By this point there are funnier ways of getting at the joke if you want to make it. German comedian Flula Borg does this very well:

According to VQ they think Tennessee would take all 3, they mentioned that they do wonder how maybe Passmore views Tennessee if they land those first 2 guys and are they as attractive to him, but make it sound like Tennessee would happily take all 3 and see what they can potentially unlock in Passmore, a guy who at one point in his recruitment flirted with a Top 25 ranking iirc.

If we were to land all 3, it would be tough to predict depth chart. Best guess would be

Gillespie / Boswell
Abram / CM
Ament / Passmore / Evans
Carey / Cade
Okpara / JP

With Henderson and Brown as end of bench/redshirts if that’s even a thing anymore.

I will say that might be one of the deepest teams Barnes has had here on paper anyways.

While I can’t predict likelihood, Staff goal is 13 or 14 players. With the various injuries, flu etc, Barnes feels like we lost a few games we would’ve won, and sometimes didn’t have adequate amount of players to play 5 on 5 competitively in practice. I don’t know how one keeps 14 players happy in this day and age, but all of Rakease, CM and AA are takes.

Fine with me. He’s another high ceiling type that there’s basically no risk in taking, imo. Unlock him, and we could be absolutely loaded in the backcourt. If you don’t, you either have multiple years to work with him and grow his game, or he’ll move along to the next school. I do think his play style would mesh well with CRB too.
