I believe they should, but they're the aggressor, they're not going to stop until they're met with a hard resistance, which American and Europe would provide.
Sounds like he was a free spirit for lack of a better term.I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here yet. It's certainly an interesting wrinkle in the saga.

Where are the Ukraine losses?
how has Putin held back?Putin has been very strategic in this war and has held back I believe. The only way that we're really going to be able to defeat Putin is to send troops over and to join the war. Thus World War III. If America and European troops went over there to fight. Then this war ends pretty quickly. It depends on how many US soldiers Bearded, evil and the other board's warmongers are willing to allow killed and wounded. Let's see how far the Ukraine flag waivers are willing to go.
Ultimately Russia is likely going to end this fiasco with more territory than it started with however the eternal debate will be was the juice worth the squeeze. Especially if the west stays united in decoupling economically from Russia and keeping them in financial exilehow has Putin held back?
except for nukes, they have tried it all.
they were losing their navy to a nation without a navy in a landlocked war.
they deployed strategic bombers, until they started getting shot down.
their air force was deployed in force, until they started getting shot down.
they introduced their new hypersonic missiles, and have launched the largest cruise missile strikes the world has seen.
they rolled out their new "super" tanks, even if they could only be trusted to act as behind the line artillery, and not front line units.
they tried an initial blitz, utilizing their special forces paratroopers. after that failed they rotated towards total destruction.
they have used so much artillery they have had to rely on foreign sources for shells, and artillery pieces.
they have ran out of modern tanks and been digging out 70 year old tanks to man the line.
they have mobilized prisoners, banned men from leaving the nation, enlisted 10s of thousands of foreign troops to fill trenches, revised their enlistment/service requirements probably half a dozen times.
Putin may not be "all in", but he is about as close as one can be. he is winning, but it is not coming easy or fast.

Maybe. And don’t get me wrong counting on the intestinal fortitude of western leadership to press Russia is not something I expect to happen short term much less long term.Russia owes the west and the World bank way too much money for it to "decouple" economically and keep them in financial exile.

Factor in Russian natural resources and good ole fashion greed will kick in at some point to get that Russian oil flowing again.
to me it helps to put things in perspective.Ultimately Russia is likely going to end this fiasco with more territory than it started with however the eternal debate will be was the juice worth the squeeze. Winning is winning, the many losses of Life by Russians, is going to be two three times more with ukraine. This is going to devastate their culture in the next 10 years from all the Ukrainian men dying. This is why we need to try to have peace, or send in us and European soldiers to fight Russiahow has Putin held back?

I think Russia was in trouble before this, and I don't think anything in this war is going to change it.Winning is winning, the many losses of Life by Russians, is going to be two three times more with ukraine.
