Yep, I was there as well and agree. I was surpised they let me in there with a bottle of mustard.I was at that game and can say without a doubt that was the worst officiating I’ve ever seen in person. The SEC wanted the BCS bowl money and was simply not going to let us win that game. Plus the nonsense from Kiffin with the 20 plus fake injuries was ridiculous. Actually it’s a miracle that someone didn’t get seriously hurt as that game was criminal. Atmosphere was electric and the SEC literally ruined it.
When fans start staying home, things will get done. TV money runs most sports, and they don't want to show half empty stadiums in primetime.What’s really going to hurt is when fans start checking out because rosters change every year, and it feels more like free agency than college athletics. If schools and players aren’t careful, they’ll lose the very thing that made college sports profitable in the first place: fan loyalty. No fans = no money, plain and simple.
Eventually, the market will correct itself, but by then, the damage might be done.
